Just got back from Mexico where there was free Wifi in the lobby, plus I always take a load of books, if only I had known about the 3g Kindle.
But now you all seem very happy with your purchases, can anybody tell if the experience is better/worse than physically reading a book, which I quite like.0 -

I also have the official cover with light and love it, it's very bright.
Also, where there's wifi, you don't need the 3g version, They all work on wifi.0 -
I am a confirmed physical book lover. HoweverI bought the kindle, as I have a sight problem and sometimes the text on normal paperbacks is too small for me to read at night.
I absolutely love it,and I'm reading much more and do not need to enlarge the print , because it's so clear and I can read it for much longer without eye strain. My teenage daughter was very cynical about them before I got it. She much prefers using it to a book now, and we are sharing it until she can afford one. All my family want one now. Im really surprised about how good it is as I'm not a gadgety sort of person, but it's made a huge difference to my enjoyment of reading.0 -
Anyone got one of the refurbs? Is there any noticeable difference between this and a new one?0

i was nearly tempted, but at 50.99 for the case with light its still too much to pay for me0

You don't need to spend much on a case and light. I got my case for under £4 on Ebay and it's great. I splashed out for the Octovo solis light at £20, and it's a great piece of kit, especially for reading in bed at night.Anyone got one of the refurbs?
