Consider getting a real full size 9.7" screen Kindle DX!

Its much, much better - if somewhat more expensive than these tiny things!

Especially if you read technical documents, manuals, etc.

It takes a few days to arrive, and customs, etc. is prepaid.

After much deliberation, I've finally succumbed and ordered myself a refurbished wifi kindle and cover - I'd converted my first topcashback payments to Amazon vouchers, so the total amount I actually had to pay was £79! Also, signed up again for a month's free Amazon Prime so it's due tomorrow. Thanks again withabix for posting.
  • Just to update everyone, it seems that, for now at least, the £115.99 refurbished Kindle has sold out:

    Still £79.99 ones available.

Looks like the £79 one has finished now as well.

Update 16.40, the £79 are now back in stock.

For everyone purchasing a Kindle, if you don't already know, (plenty of info on the net) there is a very useful application called Calibre (Google it) It's free software and can convert almost any book/text format to Kindle format, MOBI. Extremely useful. It can also manage your ebooks and assist in transferring books to your Kindle. There are also many free e-book sites that you can download from and the Calibre software can be used to covert those books for the Kindle.

Just bumping as I got one when it was first posted. It's a fab piece of kit and looked new, and all my family want one now. So much easier to read than a book, and I've read 6 books since I had it..
Can anyone recommend a cheap reading light? I got one from Asda with one LED, but it isn't good enough to read in bed without a light on.

I love the official kindle cover with light built in but its definitely not cheap at £49.99 - but I use the light just about every night so worth it for me.
