a) too many people have ordered the phone - this will ring alarm bells
b) some ***** have phoned up about their orders - this will ring alarm bells louder
c) LX Direct orders are processed manually after the initial acknowledgement - this will ring alarm bells even louder
d) No doubt some people have made multiple orders using same codes to same address - this will ring alarm bells
e) People seem to think that it is illegal for LX Direct to make debits from their bank accounts if unauthorised discount codes have been used. It isn't - you have accepted their terms and conditions when you placed your order:
"Where you have redeemed a promotional code or any other offer against your order, acceptance of this order is subject to our verifying that the code has been issued to you personally, that you comply with all the terms of the offer and qualify for the code. In the event that the code has not been issued to you for your personal use or you do not comply with or qualify for the offer, we shall have the right to reclaim the value of any discount from you and the price of the order will be adjusted..."

Anybody has received this phone so far from Lxdirect at this price?
till today morning there has been no additional charge to my credit card and the initial £25CR transaction is still not reversed...
When to expect the parcel??0 -
Morning everyone,
I placed several orders (4 in total) and i had the same problem as a lot of ppl on here, ie, confimation sayd £4.60 but account showing £29 so i phoned them...
Got a nice chap on the phone who says that the order has been processed and i will get a refund of £25 when i receive the goods as its to prevent fraud. He then noticed i had used the two codes and how this wasnt allowed and how some third part websites are handing out these codes. Asked me if thats how i got them (he knew i hadnt been sent them) Told me that he wouldnt tamper with the orders but not to do it in future!
So hopefully i'll get my three phones and cheap DS.

Order Status changed to 'Delivery Due Today'
Credit Card statement still the same (with 25CR)...
Anyone got the delivery???0 -
Well.......looks like I have got the £25 credit from my online bank statement. I might just remove my credit card from their file and close the account as soon as the phone turns up today.

I guess, if you have opened the Flexi-account with them and paid using credit card, it would be possible (I am not too sure)
I didn't opt for creating the account, just paid using credit card (many people have done the same thing, I guess) hence will not be able to delete credit card details...

Phone arrived this morning. Charged as follows;
28-12-06 LITTLEWOODS EXTRA GBR £26.10 paid out
28-12-06 LITTLEWOODS EXTRA GBR £ 3.99 paid out
28-12-06 LITTLEWOODS EXTRA GBR £25.00 paid in
£5.09 total spend. They won't reclaim the £25. This is the modern day equivelant of sending you a set of pans or a clock radio with your first order. They realise that you're far more likely to spend with them now you have registered and are happy to use this as a 'loss-leader'. We're happy that we've got something for (next to) nothing and they are happy that their account list is bulging. It's no coincidence that these finds/scams/loopholes happen to be for relatively nominal amounts. I've got a low-end mobile for £5.09. WHOPEE DOO! If I chance upon a 37" LCD tv for a similar price, I'll let you know.
Many thanks to the original poster all the same :T :beer:0 -
