Ah bit of a tough situation :undecided0 -
Is it worth cancelling this order immediately? If I had words to make a day for you,
I'd sing you a morning golden and new.
I would make this day last for all time,
Give you a night deep with moonshine.0 -
In my tracking area it says my delivery date should be 2nd Jan, anyone elses the same/different?0

I've just emailed them to see if they will honour it and they should reply and let me know though I'm probably just drawing attention to myself. If I had words to make a day for you,

Hi there, Ive just checked my bank account and littlewoods have debited my account by £29.60 on 27th Dec and then have credited by account with £25.00 today, Im not sure if they will then re-debit me that £25 or not.......will wait and see what happens..........still swithering about whether or not to accept delivery.........will have to examine my options xxThis above all: to thine own self be true, And it must follow, as the night the day, Thou canst not then be false to any man. Is this legal? Can companies credit and debit credit cards without any notification? The code used may not have been valid, but this access to our bank accounts with no notice to the customer seems less than fair.0 -
There are a number of problems with this fiddle now:
a) too many people have ordered the phone - this will ring alarm bells
b) some ***** have phoned up about their orders - this will ring alarm bells louder
c) LX Direct orders are processed manually after the initial acknowledgement - this will ring alarm bells even louder
d) No doubt some people have made multiple orders using same codes to same address - this will ring alarm bells
e) People seem to think that it is illegal for LX Direct to make debits from their bank accounts if unauthorised discount codes have been used. It isn't - you have accepted their terms and conditions when you placed your order:
"Where you have redeemed a promotional code or any other offer against your order, acceptance of this order is subject to our verifying that the code has been issued to you personally, that you comply with all the terms of the offer and qualify for the code. In the event that the code has not been issued to you for your personal use or you do not comply with or qualify for the offer, we shall have the right to reclaim the value of any discount from you and the price of the order will be adjusted..."British Ex-pat in British Columbia!0
