One of my friend got a statement from Lxdirect which says he owes £25 to them and when he enquired, they said he was not supposed to use that promo code because it was not issued to him..

Anybody else received such kind of communication from them?

Oh no, I got a letter with a catalogue from them this morning, I havent opened the letter yet, now going to open it, with dread!!!

same thing happened to me, I emailed them and stated that it did show in my
checkout that it had been accepted, and they should not deceive people by invoicing them the full amount.

I then emailed them and asked them to arrange a collection, they told me that they dont arrange a collection over the net.

Well, Ive still got the phone (unopened), I'll be damned if Im going to pay the full amount, they can come and pick it up before I pay for it in full.

The code should have been rejected during checkout rather than billing the fulla bout after sending the phone out to buyers. :mad:
