muller crunch corner yoghurts, are they ever full price? I am even getting fussy about how good their offer is as it is always on offer somewhere else at the same time!

Anything that lasts a long time such as loo paper or coffee I buy extra during good offers. There's many items I can't remember the last time I paid full price. Most people, even those who aren't particularly money saving are surely doing this now? Or am I mistaken? I sometimes wonder when I log in here and see everyone doing money saving things if this is a fair representation of how other people in general spend money, because it is often the only real insight I get in to how other people spend. I don't talk about money and shopping with friends or family, so perhaps I'm not aware of the typical trends.

Strawberries ! - actually, thinking about it, I've never seen them at full price, just "half price" :rotfl::rotfl:
  • I can fairly confidently say that the only thing i pay FULL price for is...milk, flour, eggs and yeast as these rarely appear on offer.

I stock up on cleaning products, alcohol, toilet paper, ketchups, pastas, pulses, rice, tinned goods, cereals, chocolate, crisps, nappies, wipes, cheese, meat, pop and squash whenever they are on offer.

I grow my own fruit and veg, make my own bread, pickles, jam, yoghurt and ice-cream.

But i am lucky as not only do i have a nice big freezer, a greenhouse and a decent sized garden (as well as my gadgets like breadmakers, slo-cookers etc) as well as an ASDA, Morrisons, Tesco, Waitrose, Iceland, Farmfoods, Aldi, Lidl and Sainsburys within a reasonable distance. And of course i stalk these forums ;)

I am hugely grateful for all the 'help' i get on here. Without it, i couldn't run my home the way i do and i wouldn't be able to stay at home looking after my babies :)

So, thank you to you all.

As yes, cheese - always get that on an offer, which ever brand has the best offer on is what i'll buy.

We only have treats like pastries, crumpets etc for breakfast if they've been reduced too - have a little stock pile in the freezer which we can defrost in portions for when OH fancies something different.

I won't buy anything which qualifies as junk unless it's on offer: That means crisps, biscuits, cakes, faffy yoghurts (like Crunch Corners) and the kid-appeal chilled stuff like Cheese Strings, Pepperami, Babybel's etc.

There's always loads in this category on offer, so despite my rule we never emerge from the supermarket with a healthy, spartan trolley full!

For some reason I also have difficulty parting with the full price for loo-roll and usually have the airing cupboard well-lagged with posh bog roll stockpiled on offer:D

The 4 cans of deodorant I have in my cupboard are all discontinued stuff at work. They discontinue one fragrance and put it down to 80p. The other smells in the range aren't being discontinued at my store and are £2 odd.
