Hi, Just an update really.... I went into the vets to see Scully this afternoon, and she's still quite lethargic, and depressed. However, when she realised it was me stroking her (she always has to sniff your hand before you can touch her), she seemed to perk up a bit, and was nudging my hand when I stopped stroking her, so at least that's a good sign. She looked even smaller than usual though, and I was so pleased to see her. I thought last night that I wouldn't get that opportunity again, but I'm pleased she's pulled through.
The vets have called tonight (I think they think I'm stalking the practice!), and said she has had some more food tonight, but no pooing yet, she's still constipated. I'll speak to them tomorrow about that though. She's still attached to the drip, and sleeping lots, but I'm not too worried now I've seen her.
So glad I listened to my inner voice when I rang the vets yesterday afternoon, and got her in. The receptionist was trying to get me to wait until today! When I told her she wasn't herself, I think she must've thought "Uh oh, here's a panicker!"
Anyway, will have to wait until tomorrow to see if we can bring her home tomorrow night, but they seem fairly confident that she should be allowed home if nothing else goes wrong.
Just wanted to say thanks again for all your comforting and kind words. I don't have many friends, and it has touched me greatly that so many people replied and were bothered about me and my ancient kitty!:DSometimes you're the dog, but more often you're the tree!:D0 -

Your girl is not ancient, some domestic cats live past thirty! I don't understand the senior label for eight year olds, IMO it's the same as 35 year old humans being called middle aged only a few decades ago.Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0 -

I agree, my 12 year old has trouble walking down the stairs (oh, my creaking old arthritic bones) - until meal times when she comes charging down. Or when she feels like jumping on top of the 7 foot high cabinet to eat my spider plant!
I'm so pleased that your little one has such fighting spirit and hope you can bring her home tomorrow.:wave:A highly active brain needs feeding often
