  • Fingers crossed that she's stabilised for the night and will start to make real progress tomorrow once the drugs have had time to take effect.

Try to get some sleep - I know how hard that will be as my boy sleeps on my pillow and when he went missing I just couldn't sleep so :grouphug: from all here.

  • Well, I had a very rough night, was awake most of the night, and now I have a corker of a headache from lack of sleep. But............ I phoned the vets this morning, and she's pulled through!!!!!! Even the vet said it was a remarkable thing to watch, this little bag of skin and bones turning it around. She's even had something to eat and drink this morning. The vet said they put the potassium in the drip, and her levels steadily rose, and as they did, it was obvious she was feeling better. She's even purring now, when she gets stroked and patted.
They are keeping her in for tonight (another 24 hours), and keeping her on the drip to rehydrate, but she's back from the brink. I was so relieved I cried, I'm unashamed to say!
Don't know what the running cost is yet, looks like the visa might have to make up the shortfall, but to be quite honest, I don't care. She's my baby, and I'm not ready to let her go yet. Luckily for me, it looks like she doesn't want to!
Thanks to all who replied, and sent good wishes and hugs, I really appreciated it. I'll update later when I ring the vets.
