Ithen his mother tried it on asking if she could put Squeak to bed then started getting shirty when I said no.. it is a strange house, she is over tired and grumpy and she was in fact asleep in seconds when I put her to bed but it could so easily have gone the other way and her screamed for hours. I did say to her.. Please, just don't wind me up. I am putting her to bed, end of.

You are not being unreasonable. My MIL would have had short shrift (God Rest her soul).

I think I need to go to the top of the Flylady class as I have finally removed all the soy sauce from the carpet :)

I blotted it with kitchen roll for days. Then today sucked up any more moisture with my vax.

I used astonish carpet cleaner for electric carpet cleaners. it wasn't doing much so I tipped the mix onto the stains from a jug, probably too much water then sucked it up fast before it spread. And now have a lovely clean carpet.

I was a bit worried when I realised that one of the stains was right next to a socket and the wires run under the carpet. But nothing seems to have been harmed. Just luck I think.

Well done on the soy sauce removal!

Have listed loads on e bay

and I have been on a prewalk as I am leading 2 classes on a walk through the Moss Valley on Tuesday

have used the TD (towels) but they need a bit longer - JULY!

    lots to do

(note to self. Spending saturday afternoons playing Scrabble against a computer is not compatible with a clean tidy house - to my shame I ended up cleaning the bathroom and kitchen LAST NIGHT I was so absorbed...)

  • Did a 10.30am Mr T run this morning. Ugh. Never again. I'm sticking to Mr S, A or W during the week and garden centres at weekends from now on if I can't get what I need down the market. Screaming children, screaming parents, very little of what I wanted. I am not doing it again, you can't make me! [stamps feet]

Splat is looking much better today, thanks for the healing vibes, LW. His head is still leaking a bit, but (apologies to the veggies here), as I was dealing with a whole raw chicken when he made his way downstairs, I took out all the leftover bits of lung, kidney, etc, and fed it to him in my fingers.

Once I had recovered from the evil eye of the other cat glaring from her nest turning my legs into a pile of ash for daring to be nice to him, did

    WM x 2
    TD x 1

Now got feet up with a fluffy, newly brushed splat snoring at them, waiting for the chook to cook through. :)

Oh, and Minion has just announced that she has to design an artificial habitat for a polar bear or whale. So she is now amending the homework to state that it is impossible to create a satisfactory captive environment for creatures of such size and natural range. :) :t:

Ideal way for the last week of term to commence - clean house, Minion changing the rules to argue about something, a orthopaedics appointment in the morning for Minion's wonky back and dinner ready soon.

    :)

We have had a busy day! We have spent the day sorting out the dining room - emptying the remaining 3 bookcases, moving them to the shed (waiting to go to new homes), built the new units, cleaned skirting boards that hadn't been cleaned for more than 10 years ( they were behind the bookcases which covered thewhole wall), found sawdust (were a bit worried, until we uncovered the bit of wallpaper the hamster ate years ago & remembered that he had once lived up there - so no mice!). i have sorted out some stuff to go to the CS, some stuff has gone in the loft, got lots of shredding to do, and I may ebay some stuff aswell.

I have also cooked (and eaten) dinner, washed up and washed & dried DS's duvet. So not a bad day :j

DH has just left for Cardiff (he has interviews to do 1st thing tomorrow), so I am now running a bath. I will finish off the last of the sorting in the dining room when I come back down.

    Bye for now :D

I have blitzed kids room today. Only 1 carrier bag of rubish & 1 of recycling & 1 charity bag so I must be getting on top of things. I had a bang on the head whilst in there which sent me a bit funny. It was only a small thing.

Off to stick DS2 in bath back later
