im going to go and get showered and dressed and then pop to the hardware store. im still trying to remove my old loo seat and its begining to drive me crazy. dont worry JoJo im not going to take a hammer to it, although it is tempting :D will end up paying someone to replace the loo seat soon if i cant do it.

house is pretty much sorted, although i dont like the cleaner that the agency sent round, she seemed to take offense at the stuff i asked her to do, bits of it arent done to my satisfaction so will be haveing words with the owner on monday. will be nice and polite but if im paying someone to do a job and i ask them to do the skirting boards and they tell me they dont need doing when there is clearly dust on them is not on in my book. thinking at this point a cleaner may end up more hassle than good.

I got loads more done in my HHC than i ever would have thought. I,

    Stripped my bed
Took the old broken tv downstairs (i will put it outside when the rain stops as someone will take it)
Got rid of packaging from new tv
    Chucked broken lamp
    Cleared 1 bedside table
    Tidied mantlepiece
Put the contents of 2 wardrobes that were spilling out on the floor back
Cleared the top & drawers of 1 chest of drawers
Tidied bits of floor as i went around
Rehomed Ds2's stuff into his room
    Cleared my floordrobe
    Tidied desk

It's looking loads better in there already after only HH.

I'm not going to have a lie down, i'm going to carry on while i've got some motivation.

I'll be back at 2.30 for another update and a coffee.

Toots thanks for the advice re the soy sauce disaster. I can't blame DS2 as I moved all his bags etc so DB could sleep in there. You take care of yourself and don't go doing anything. I hope your carers are on the ball this weekend.

hex I hope you have a wonderful holiday. You deserve it.:)

I have been flying but in a different house. We got a last minute booking for the cottage so I had DH and DS2 flying and me directing and playing at cottage inspector. I need some white gloves :D

DD usually cleans and does the laundry but she has gone away on holiday for a much deserved rest.

DS2 is now making me a well deserved cuppa.

    In my 2nd HHC i

    Collected laundry
    Wm x 1
Tidied top of chest of drawers
    Sorted some reciepts for shredding
    Cleared out 2nd COD
    Reshuffled COD's
    Chucked old underwear
Put some too small, hardly worn bras in a bag for the CS
    Tidied 2nd bedside table

I'm just slurping a quick coffee. I reckon it'll be done in another HHC. I just need to move the bed, clean under it, move the bedside tables, remake the bed, dust and hoover. Then it'll be time for Ds2's room which is actually for once not as bad as mine was.

Not done much except empty all the bags and put stuff away, recycling box is full and we're off to the big NEXT home store at the Metro Centre tomorrow.:o

Watching Harry Potter now. Then I'll peel the spuds for a late tea, great day we've had though :)
