Fair enough, but on many of the other forums looking into this there are police officers, lawyers, barristers, computer experts, journalists, who've all tried to find out said information and drawn a blank. Normally on Pistonheads and 4chan it takes the commited "outers" about 10 minutes to have someone's full name, address, bank account details and childhood photos - I've seen it happen many times before, but not in this case.
I believe the uploader of the Youtube video has been asked numerous times for the name of the woman and dodged the question every time. The exact location of the incident has even been sourced and still that draws a blank for RTA's.
I actually don't want to to be proved wrong, as that means that poor bloke did actually get run over, but all it will take to change my mind is a court record or news article from the incident date.0 -

What was the date? How can you trust the veracity of these police officers, lawyers, barristers, computer experts, journalists? The greater danger, for most of us, lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short; but in setting our aim too low and achieving our mark0 -

I don't really understand what you're trying to say. There is no formal information about the accident so I don't see what lies are being told. Unless you're saying there is huge conspiracy in place to protect the driver of the Merc and everyone is keeping quiet.0 -

What I am saying is that there are many different people using the internet, who pretend to be something they are not. Them declaring that they cannot find something is impossible to prove. I could just as well write that I cannot find my dog, but how do you know I had a dog in the first place. The greater danger, for most of us, lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short; but in setting our aim too low and achieving our mark0 -
I'm horrified and disgusted. The bloke filming was doing at least 40 in a 30.0

OK - then you tell me who the woman was, where she was convicted and when she was convicted? I don't that's too difficult to ask in this information age.0

I have no idea who she is, or when and where she was convicted and I am quite puzzled as to why you think I might. The greater danger, for most of us, lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short; but in setting our aim too low and achieving our mark0 -
Funny, a quick google finds the same kind of discussion in many forums.
It doesn't look fake and seems too elaborate to set up, but it's proved difficult to verify.
If it's fake, then I'd be p*ssed at the makers of the video. If not, then they've done a great community service. Until we know, it's silly to say it's 100% either way.0 -

Exactly, anyone can say "I rang the police station in the area, and was told that there were no calls matching this description on that date" - and it doesn't mean it's true. People enjoy stirring the pot.
Personally I'm more inclined to believe it, but there's got to be a healthy amount of skepticism with such videos.
It's a good thing when people question events. Some just get too emotionally involved, if you read some of the equivalent threads on other boards.0
