Hello again! Smartprice Coco Pops are really yummy, I think they're 75p a pack. Oh and the Tesco Value fish portions weren't too bad, the batter on them was really tasty but the fish wasn't anything special (I didn't expect it to be at that price...).

hi willow92, thanks for the reccomendation regarding the breafast cereal, I have included this in the front page of this thread. I was not sure if the fish portions were a reccomendation or not? if they are can you confirm if they are frozen or chilled, thankyou :)

  • Hi,

I may as well add my experiences, though I think most of them have been covered before:

    Sainsburys good:
    Basics Cambembert (lovely and ripe!)
    Basics Mozzarella
Basics Tea bags (love the fact they are fair-trade too)

    Sainsburys bad:
Basics kitchen swing-bin bags (never again - they rip sooo easily)

    Morrisons good:
    Value pasta twirls
Value dried apricots (better than the more expensive ones)
    Value mixed dried fruit
    Value dried sultanas
    Value flour (plain and SR)
Value peanuts (good for making HM peanut butter, but probably too small and oily for snacking?)

    Morrisons bad:
Value Mozzarella (too salty and otherwise bland)

That's all I can think of just now.

I have brought mainly the basics range in my Grocery shopping this week from Sainburys thinking i was going to save money on what my weekly grocery shopping usually comes to. It has come to about £12 more than i usually spend lol. Defeats the purpose of buying the basics range i guess allthough i have got more for the money.
