disagree about the tesco value bin bags, we use them all the time in the kitchen bin before transferring to the wheelie bin.

are you recommending the value bin bags chardonnay?

hey mary, yes lots of things do rocket from ime to time. I purchase a litre of vasic shampoo from sainsburys last month for 22p, its now priced at 62p.

    is the bourbons a recomendation?

apologies, yes I would reccomend them as they taste the same as branded bourbons :)
  • Couldn't see these on first page or in thread but I love Sainsburys Basics instant mashed potato. It's only 20p and we use it in loads of things - potato cakes, gnocchi, thickening soups, topping shepherds pie, cheese and onion pasties and more. It tastes really lovely (you need to add a pinch of salt and a knob of butter (I use Clover)).

I also like Basics madeira cake, however you can hardly ever get it in my Sainsburys - it's lovely - reminds me of the pound cake you get in the states - really moist. I make all kinds with it - truffles (with the basics chocolate), queen of puddings, trifles, refridgerator cake and more.

I also buy the basics eggs and the tortilla chips, but think these have already been mentioned.

I agree with the Basics eggs, especially as they aren't from battery hens, they are a little more expensive egg for egg than Tescos and Asdas but I feel a bit better buying them :)
