Sainsbury's:
Basic's Chicken Curry 48p a can (though I'm sure it was 40p a can a week or 2 ago) really yummy
Basic's Chicken and Mushroom noodles 16p bit like a pot noodle
Basic's Jumbo toilet rolls 6 pk £1.75 really soft better than I expected
Basic's Garlic Bread 74p for 2
Basic's Houmous 85p really yummy
Asda:
Smartprice Crisps 12pk - 71p quite nicely flavoured, not too much not too bland.
Thanks Ikkle97, I have added your recomendations to the first pageTrinidad - I have a number of needs. Don't shoot me down if i get something wrong!!0 -

I've recently started buying more SmartPrice items and have been really impressed. Most of them have already been mentioned but two that I would add are the Bolognese Sauce and Sparkling Water. The Bolognese has quite a light flavour but it works really well with something like some stuffed pasta for a very cheap meal. The water is ridiculously cheap and tastes no different from any other brand.
Tried the dairy toffee today and wasn’t convinced, it was far too solid.
thanks newbie, I have added your recomendations and dairy toffee to the front page. Feel free to add others which have already been mentionedTrinidad - I have a number of needs. Don't shoot me down if i get something wrong!!0 -

My kids can't tell the difference between a 20p packet of Tesco Value instant mash than a much more expensive proper Smash. I'd even say it has a slight edge because my son had two lots just dinner time today!
thanks judee, added to the front page, thankyouTrinidad - I have a number of needs. Don't shoot me down if i get something wrong!!0 -

asda smartprice washing powder is fantastic. I use it for clothes, the kitchen floor, removing cooked-on foods from oven trays... I laso buy the sparkling water. I like a bit of fizzy lol.
I like totry things out, I will try cheaper items and if I like them, I'll keep buying them. if not, I'll go back to my next cheapest brand. take for instance asda concentrated washing conditioner. I like the asda brand moonflower one, but not the smartprice.
washing up liquid, I'm currently using fairy because of all the vouchers I got from supersavvyme.com... in my name and my husband's! using them combined with a tesco's offer, I got 4 650ml bottles for £1. one of those lasts our small family 2 months!!! I've found the own brand washing up liquids dont actually last as well as fairy, and I've no idea why because they look and feel very similar!
oh, and Lidl Freeway Cola is great in my humble opinion. but kind of addictive.
I would buy more cheaper items, but a lot of packaged food is padded out with whey powder and nobody in my family can have lactose, and whey has it in so in our house, whey = bad times. also Lactose is being used more and more as a flavouring which is really annoying. it's even in salt and vinegar crisps!!
thanks flibsey, i have added your recomendation to the front pageTrinidad - I have a number of needs. Don't shoot me down if i get something wrong!!0
