Hi everyone
I've been buying some bits on EBay and will update on those when I get them in (in case they end up not as suitable as I thought they were...)
Mainly updating to say I forgot a very important person.... the chilldminder. Ooops
Assigning a £15 budget and have spent £5.66 last night on bits which will hopefully be just what I think they are and I'll only need to buy a couple of bitsApril 2021 Grocery Challenge 34.29 / 2500 -
Two baskets completed now.
MiL for £14.32 and Sis for £20.45. Both will need sweets/hot choc nearer chrimbo to fill their mugs but I'm really chuffed so far at (a) not spending ailly money (b) not having to rush at Christmas (c) buying while I have the spare cash as I won't at Christmas. Will do the same next year though I won't have to have it all done my end of July admittedly...
Hoping to get another EBay purchase of Lush stuff early this week so I can check out if I can finally finish my Mum's hamper - the last lot wasn't quite what I thought it was so I haven't included that mistake in the budget. I'll update as soon as I get it to hopefully say 'yeeeaaahhh finished' and I can then update the hamper totalApril 2021 Grocery Challenge 34.29 / 2500 -
Nice to see everyon'e progress. I keep thinking I must make a start as we are halfway there now! We have recently reduce present buying for most adults to an Oxfam voucher (eg a goat) and a bottle of wine. Debating buying a dozen bottles of wine in Tesco's this week as they have 30% off. Would I end up drinking them? Might be OK if I bought them in the boxes (as I would probably get all the same, or six red and six white) and hid them (from myself!) in my wardrobe. Also thinking of getting a voucher from Oxfam now and then, so they're not all to buy in December.
Other than that, I have started collecting £2 coins, and am up to £12.0 -
Just thought I would make me contribution to this thread, We are all going on holiday from 14-22nd December  so this year i need to be really organised as we dont arrive back until the early hours. So far this year I have managed to collect £20 boots and £20 wallis vouchers compliments of pigsback. I have got £15.00 worth of wh smith points thanks to the 200 points vouchers, £20 boots points thanks to the boots thread and loads of makeup and things to give to girlies. I also have around £15 worth of (nectar points) and if i need them up to now around 4500 tescos points (hoping to have at last 5000 by the next redemption time. Im hoping that my wh smith, nectar and boots points will dramatically go up throughtout the year. I do have a lot of people to buy for at Christmas but because of our holiday I am cutting down the cost. I loved making baskets last year for people who loved receiving them but this year I wont be making any because we have agreed not to buy for each other. One thing I did enjoy last year which I will definately be doing this year is a sweets box. I bought a plastic sewing box and filled it with sweets for my 2 d/s's who loved them. There are some pictures somewhere on here if anyone wants to see what I mean.

As for wine - wait till they have some on 50% off and free delivery as well as using one of the 1000 or 2000 points if you buy £50 worth or more
I really really must make that list of people to buy for and then go through my present box... *sigh*DFW Nerd #025DFW no more! Officially debt free 2017 - now joining the MFW's!

I nearly have £50 worth of savings stamps for Tesco!!! YAAAAAY! I will take all my change in to be swapped for hard cash and that should take me over the £50
Woohoooo
Have also decided that this year we'd probably like to have a quiet christmas at home just the 2 of us and enyone else who wants to invade the house are more than welcome to - kinda thingLast year we had my family invade from Denmark, and although it was nice I prefer a quiet christmas... Next year though the is every chance I'll be quite pregnant (if all goes well... we're not planning on starting trying until after the wedding in May) so that might be a drive/boat trip home for christmas... Wouldn't fancy flying if very pregnant!
Anyway that should make everything a little cheaper in some ways... Will only have to send presents to close family which ofcourse will add a little on the cost side... but again save loads in that I won't have to buy for everyone that I never see anyway...DFW Nerd #025DFW no more!
