    Hi everyone,

Dinner is cooking for those who want to pop round ;) sausage, jackets, veg and cottage cheese.

Stormy, Dad bought a new Dell the other week, he ended up ringing dell and they matched quidco's cashback plus he got a few extra bits thrown in, might be worth trying that option as well ;) He has got vista on his new machine, will be interested to see how he goes with it.

Hope you have all had a good w/e

    Morning everyone,

I hope you all had a good weekend. Well done rosie your dad will be very proud of you, I hope the bin liner fitted nicely !! AnW`sMum how was the "wobbly frame" good I hope. Molly we are all here for you when you need us. Anniestar I hope you have a better week this week and we are all thinking of you. Love and hugs to everyone else.

DH has been off for a few days (hols) and I can honestly say I really appreciated him being home,we don`t get time on our own because of the children and it was nice to have that time, after being a part of this thread it has made me realise even more how precious (sp) this time is, I knew it when dad died but stormy, and AnW`sMum has brought it home to me.
Well I have got an interview on friday, It`s from 9-5.30 so all day this is my first proper interview ever !!!. It is a full time job 37 hrs and I have only done 7-12 a week for the last 12 years and not in school hols !!! but I want to do it for me, it`s working with people with learning disabilities so it would be very rewarding.
Must go, dd has orthadontist this morning then pop to the college for her to have a chat as she is due to go in september, then doctors for ds2 as he has got a lump appeared in his neck and keeps getting headaches, so it`s best to get that looked at (proberly a boil)

    Have a good day everyone
    love and hugs

morning everyone, where is the time going??? I can't believe we are already a week through March. Just got back from seeing Ian, his daffs are coming through and will look great when they flower.

Yesterday was non stop meetings of one kind or another so didn't get a lot else done. Alice went to her adoptive grandparents after school (they have no grandchildren/prospect of any or their own) and had a great time baking, playing hunt the treasure and generally amusing them!

Had a meeting at school for William, he starts there part time after Easter. Proof read a report for mum for which she 'rewarded' William and I with dinner :D

Tonight is parent teacher interview for Alice and then up to Nannie and Grandad's (Ian's parents) for tea. I just need to sort out where we can go for Wed/Thurs for tea!!!!! :p

mandymoo good luck for Friday I don't envy you a full day's interview  my last interview was for my job at the bank 18 yrs ago! And when the guy asked 'any questions' I said 'why should I work for you, what have you got to offer me'!!!!!! :rotfl: :rotfl: The wobbly frame was great thanks :)

jbatista, twink, anniestar, stormy, chev and everyone else :grouphug: hope you are all well.

    Catch you all later :)

hello, i thought i would just pop my head around as i haven`t posted for a few days.
well i have now been back to work for the last few days, and it does help to take my mind of things.
i can`t believe the funeral was over a week ago.
i had his youngest son to stay for the weekend, when he arrived he was so pale and quiet, but when i took him back to his nans on the sunday...well, my house was an absolute tip and he had been laughing most of the weekend..so it did him some good. it helped me as well, but he is the spitting image of his dad so that was quite hard at first.
at the moment i just feel so empty almost dead inside. i keep going through the motions of the day..but hopefully this will soon pass. but i miss him so much.
i am trying to keep busy all the time so i don`t have too much chance think about it all or else i just end up crying.
the children all seem to cope with it a lot better than me.
but again thanks for all the support and the big ((((hugs))).
so here is a big ((((hug)))) from me to everyone who gave me somely lovely kind words.
    many thanks
    molly
    xx

Hi molly, glad you could post, it's nice to know everyone is ok.

I know what you mean about the emtpy feeling and going through the motions, it will get better but I won't kid you and say it will be soon just that it won't seem quite so bleak in the months to come, I'm sure Stormy and the others would agree. The keeping busy thing is good as it keeps you active both physically and mentally having to think about everyday tasks and problems. But please don't think that you can't cry, crying is good and it won't harm the children to see you cry either, shows that you are hurting just as much as they are. I almost started blubbing in Morrisons today! Managed to wait until I got back in the car and then drove to Ian with tears streaming down my cheeks. The red eyed look is very fashionable ;)

It's still very early days for you so don't expect too much of yourself. We are all here for you. (((HUGS)))

I am having a really lazy day, should be flyladying but can't be bothered! Will parcel up my latest ebay sales before picking ALice up and then off to Nannies.

    See you all later

    Morning everyone,

Hope you are all well, molly it`s so nice that your partners children are able to spend time with you, and together you will find that it brings comfort to you all.
Took ds2 to the doctors and was told it is a tiny gland come up,it is slowly getting smaller so no need to worry.
Getting a bit panicky about friday, I am more worried about dd and ds having to get the bus home from school ( I have always taken them and collected them) they are fine about it it`s just me, because I have always been here they have never had to do it. But at 13 and 15 I know they are more than able.

Hope you all have a good day and remember we are all here for each other.

love and hugs to you all

jbatista, you are in our thoughts and all the best for tomorrow.
Twink thanks, I will get some of that.
I am looking forward to it really and am treating it as a day out and an insight into the job, I think it is going to be about spending time with the people that use the service and to see how you get on and then my interview is at 1pm, so if nothing else it will be "a day in the life of ..... " I have the upmost repect for anyone with a learning disability and how they try that little bit harder, I am sure I will learn more from them than they will from me !!

    love and hugs
