Hi all, just a quick note before school run... Stormy, why not still buy a Valentines card and little prez for John and put it on the graveside? Wrap the card up in one of those A4 plastic wallets and it'll last quite a while. Of course it'll be nowhere near the same but at least you hopefully not feel too 'left out' (sorry, words not coming out too tactfully today )

But at least you are considering going out again, which is great news! Good luck in the quiz - I would come but would probably get horribly drunk and help you lose miserably!:D

Chev, please get to the Dr's - if you have depression, then most meds take a couple of weeks to get in your system and start to work properly, so it's best to make that appointment asap.

So what time and where is this quiz? It's a great idea Stormy and I know exactly what you mean about the drinking, it was weeks before I had one and when I did a white wine spritzer was enough! :rotfl:

gerty, a card is a great idea just a tip if you want to keep it later on (assuming it doesn't blow away) write in coloured pencil as it doesn't seem to fade in the sunlight. DD did a picture for Daddy which we laminated and put with him back in June and the colours are still really bright but where I had put the date on the bottom in biro has faded totally.

Chev, please rearrange the Dr's appt soon.

Well I had beeter go, the school run beckons an then back to flyladying (more like flylimping at the mo)

Morning all, hope that everyone had a good peaceful nights sleep. Chev swetie, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE go to the dr's and even iif you don't feel beter straight away you will feel as though you are doing something to get back on the road to rcovery. Stormy, have a nice night at the quiz. You know we are all SO proud of how you are dealing with a set of circumstances that you did not want, were not in any prepared for and came out of the blue. You should be so proud of yourself as we are. Actully that goes for a lot of you on hre. I naw realise with adult eyes just how amazing my mum was. My sister died when I was pretty little(and right up to the day my mum died she never could speak about her)then my dad got sick and he died just after I turned 7. She had no family in the area at all and yet I remember a happy childhood if grindingly poor. (To be honest I think thats why I can cope with the lack of money)-compared with my childhood we are on easy street and yet I was HAPPY. She was a remarkable woman. Sorry for being so self indulgent its just that you ladies with small children should NEVER EVER worry that your family will miss out financially on ANYTHING-IT DOESN'T MATTER. Honest. Been there, done that worn the(patched) t-shirt! You are ALL amazing I feel very priveledged to know you. Thank you. Have a good day, look after yourself and take care. A XXX

AnW`sMum, glad the weekend went well,it`s nice to share memories with friends who are special to Ian and you.

anniestar, you say such lovely things and I agree this is like siting and having a chat with friends, your mum sounded a great lady.

I handed my notice in at work a few weeks back and have been there for 12 years and leave next week, got to the stage where I want to do a job for me, I have always worked so that I was here for the children and now they are older we think they can manage without me more. I would not have done it any other way but It`s now my time and at 42 I don`t want to miss the boat as to say. But with no qualifications and only 2 jobs since leaving school theres not a lot I can do. But I will try and find a job that I can enjoy, thankfully we don`t rely on my money to much so I can spend time looking.

I'm going to buy John a card and laminate it, that is a great idea, thanks so much for that, I don't think straight half the time....
The quiz was ok, nice company although we only came third, but I enjoyed it, a month ago, I thought I would never be able to enjoy anything ever again.
I'm very tired tonight, so I'm off to bed.
Busy day ahead, more reviews of my team....grrrrrr

Morning all, hope you are well, happy and WARM(Its SO freezing here). I hop everybody has a great day. I am now 2/3rds through printing this out and hopefully will get it finished today. I have spoken to my (female)cousin, told her all about this site and thread and she is going to have a read shortly. I am always amazed by the courage shown on here,insparational. Its been a while since i posted on this thread, but thats not to say i havent been following it very closely and reading all your comments! There are so many people out there hurting inside and just 'getting through' each day is tough for them but the support on here never ceases to amaze me. I just wanted to say hello, let you know im still here (in the background!) and sending you all hugs, although you all deserve much much more than that.
