Thank you everyone, I'm feeling ok today, I've had a good clean of the house, and, of course, went to football, even though Rosie wasn't feeling too good, she scored..........wey hey! The team won 5-2.
It was my DD2's birthday on the 2nd Feb, (week after DS1), so I guess that's another reason to feel a little sad.
Anyhow, going to make a lasagne now, I'll be back later.
Take care all,
Stormy

Hi everyone,
Just a very quick post, been a good w/e but a tough one as well. Stormy, you got through another week well done, although it probably doesn't feel like it it has to get easier. The only way I can reason all of this is that in the beginning there are no good times at all but as the hours and days pass the smiles start to return and the laughes come back as well. Sometimes they are only fleeting, a matter of a second or two and the guilt I have felt at them was enormous. But gradually I am realising that Ian would not want us to be sad and would want us to smile and laugh.
It''s been hard at times this weekend to smile or laugh but it was good to see our friend (first time we have seen him since the funeral).
Well I had better log off as the batteries on the keyboard need recharging and I can't see the keys for tears.
Take care all and will catch up more tomorrow.

Hi all thanks for the thoughts. Events have kept me from the Drs. Not good to get a puncture on the way to school. So bang went that appt. But I WILL book another one.
Stormy and others. I can't imagine how I would feel if I lost my DH, he has been so supportive with this bl**dy illness.
I hope it starts to get a tiny bit easier as we move into spring. But all the firsts this year will be hard.
But we will be there for you
chevI want a job that is less than an hour driving away from my house! Are you listening universe?

Thank you all, and YES Chevalier, you must get to the Dr's soon.
Thanks AnW'sMum and all, I have survived anither week. I'm glad now that I went to the grave, it was peaceful even thought it was a little surreal, I will go again, when the sun is shining.
Work has really kept me sane these past couple of weeks and the girls from work have pursuaded me to go wit them to the quiz night at a local pub on the marina tomorrow night. they say they're rubbish without me! H, I think they are being nice, I'm rubbish at the quiz, but it's a nice place with no pressure, so that should be ok. I've not really had a drink since John died and I'm scared to in company, so it'll be the orange juice for me.
DS2 has gone off to London for a few days with work and he may be going to France next week, so he seems happy enough. Rosie is gettingover her cold and it was still light when I left work, so I'm hoping that will make me feel better too. Although, john loved the sun and the summer time so it will be hard in a way too. I suppose the firsts of eveything is difficult, everywhere I look is valentines day, and I don't begrudge anyone this, I feel like someone is having a big joke on me and I just don't get it!
Anyway, I'm really tired tonight and I have a busy day at work tomorrow, so I'm off to bed.
I hope everyone has a peaceful night,
Take care,
Love Stormy

it will be good to get out stormy with your workmates and its nice they care about you, as you say the first year is the most difficult to cope with and it does hurt, esp in the summer when everyone is going on trips out or holidays but its just a case of keeping busy and trying not to think too much
hugs to all xx0 -

your work mates sound a great crowd. let them look after you...you'd do the same for them.x x x0
