  • My metal 3 tier pan steamer from morrisons
My slow cooker donate by the MIL
    My wok
  • My blender, definitely. I've had it for, let me see, 30 years (crikey, am I that old?) and use it all the time for making breadcrumbs; great soups, often from leftovers, milkshakes and smoothies.

There's an older thread on 'must have' kitchen gadgets so I've merged both threads to keep all the replies together.

I would love one of the runner bean slicers where you turn a handle and feed the beans in at the top - my friend's mum used to have one.

  • I rarely use the slow cooker as it is too small and I leave for work at 4.30 am and it is as much as I can do to remember to take my sandwiches. We use the sandwich toaster occasionally, it is a bit old and manky but sits upright in the cupboard so doesn't take up too much space. What I couldn't manage without is the filter coffee machine, bread maker, electric hand held whisk, and dishwasher, which are all used daily. I have a cheap fryer that goes on the gas ring. I used to have an electric one, but it took up too much space and was horrible to clean.

I got a dvd boxset for my b'day but was told i could take it back and get something i wanted if i'd rather, so planning on doing that as no time to watch them!

What would you os'ers recommed, i want something that will maybe save me money or time? Or even both, i don't have alot of kitchen gadgets so any recomendations? I have a breadmaker, smoothie maker, stock pot would there be any point in me getting a slow cooker? does it not do the same as the stock pot left on the hob (electric) for a few hours?

    Thanks
