Tesco value products (temporarily on silly prices!)

Still plenty of baby bath and shampoo in R0yston last night for 5p and 8p.
Not Value stuff but still a bargain I think - same store had Daisy dishwasher tablets at £2 for 40 tablets, which works out slightly cheaper than the Value ones at £1.67 for 30 tablets. Also, the Daisy colour washing liquid is currently £2 for 28 washes and we're getting on fine with it. We actually like a lot of the Daisy cleaning products, especially the kitchen cleaner at 46p - don't know if anyone remembers the Flash Orange spray you used to be able to get which was really good at cleaning greasy things e.g cooker hoods etc? Well I swear the Daisy cleaner is even better than the Flash was so IMHO it's a bit of a bargainDFW no.554 - Proud to be dealing with my debts :TDAVID TENNANT CAN PROBE ME WITH HIS SONIC SCREWDRIVER ANYTIME...:AFLYING THE FLAG FOR THE CAMBRIDGE BOOTS TARTS :happyhear0 -

1 X bag of Tesco Value frozen broc 30p
3 x value stock cubes (I use 2 veg and one chicken but use what you prefer) 3p
Salt and pepper 1p
Double cream to personal taste (A splash if you're dieting, a good slug if you're not!) 10p ish
Put broccolli in a large pan and cover with boiling water, crumble in stock cubes, cook for about 20 minutes until brocolli is tender. Turn off heat, allow to cool down a bit and then blitz with a hand blender/food processor. Stir in the cream and season to taste.
This is SO good, tastes much more than the sum of its parts, iykwim.
thanks not looked at frozen veg for ages as did not have freezer space until recent purchase of chest freezer.
will definitely stock up on the frozen brocolli.
thanks:j:j0 -
I've decided I've got all I can in my last shop from T's and most of the stuff is going up now
So Asda it is for my next shop and their smart price range has some fairly good offers too like shower gel 10p , soup 17p , nappy bags for 27p , bleach 27p , toilet cleaner 25p , general purpose cleaner 25p , passata 25p and I got 2 champagne glasses @ 60p each , their KTC stuff is good and they are doing 10 kilo's basmati for £8
Plus the usual basic tinned spaghetti hoops 18p , plus the usual rice pudding and my daughter uses the smart price furniture polish and says its fine!
They are also doing a 500ml Asda handwash in zingy lemon etc for 54p and 5 toffee crisps for a pound which of course I couldn't resist!!
( I prefer their 12 pack of value toilet tissue too as the tesco new big 'uns aren't to my liking! lol )0 -
thanks.
don't know if anyones pointed it out (i've not read whole thread) but if you go on their website and type "value" into the search box it all comes up.loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:0 -
Just to confirm if anyones interested, plenty of baby shampoo at 8p in H*ckn*ll Texco and about 5 paxos. Although, no paxos anymore as that was what we went in for, but left the shampoo for anyone interested!!!Comping since 08 - Back again for 2020!0

Value toilet tissue is just Tesco 4 pack £1.20 but Asda is 12 pack £1.60!
Tesco = 30p a roll, Asda = 13p a roll!!!
Be careful, not all Tesco value items are value items!!!
Thanks to all posters, either value or smartprice related!!:A Every moment is a gift. That's why we call it the present.!:A

Value prices def on the up and up. Went in today for some tortilla chips. They used to be 17p for a largish bag, then they went to 25p but were on 3 for 2 so 50p for 3 bags. Todays price: 50p per bag!0

I've just ordered a whole load of shampoo and baby bath for a laugh as part of the TCB £11.11 cashback & £10 off £50 spend deal. I don't need what I've ordered and I'll be honest as say I'm hoping for substitutions but if you need any give me a shout as I'm sure I could spare a couple!!ps. I found out the self scanner in the fashion department is broken but there is one in a homeware aisle.
Is this in Springhill? If so, there are actually 3 scanners but only one works. Clothing has never worked for me. Same goes for the one in the bedlinen aisle. There is however a working scanner in the tea/coffee aisle0
