Tesco value products (temporarily on silly prices!)

Hi all,
was in Long Eaton today and had a packs of 8 football party bags for 7p in the cards & wrapping paper bit when you go in
also had Banners,Napkins & Tablecoths at 25p each these were BBQ related, but still great for a kiddies party or family gatherings isle 12 by the way

The Value baby bath was 5p and the baby shampoo was 8p (think I've remembered these two correctly!) in R0yston on Wednesday night - didn't get online yesterday or would have posted this earlier. Broccoli was 94p for me too.

I can remember reading that T had stopped the value chocolate. Sorry if this has been posted as I haven't really looked a this thred much as not needed any shopping for quite a while :whistle:. Anyway I've just been looking and the value chocolate is showing as 49p for 100g for me.

Wish it had been posted on here - Would have stuffed me freezer full too! lol

They certainly bump up the prices all of a sudden don't they? ... Wish I's stocked up on the stock cubes too!!

They do! I'm particularly miffed about the baby wipes at the moment, in the last 3 weeks they have been 9p 18p 36p and now they're 49p a packet, hoping the drop down again soon but it looks as if all of the prices are on the rise now. 94p is the most expensive I have ever seen the broccoli

Not a bad price, but if you can get to Sainsbos, their Basics choc is 32p for 100g bar. Very eatable it is too almost wasted on cooking with!

I bought some on Monday, was 90p for me. Maybe different stock/bar codes on packs? Am in London, I'd imagine the turn-over for stock is that much higher so if it was old stock I'd not have gotten it, where abouts did you pick up yours?

I've decided I've got all I can in my last shop from T's and most of the stuff is going up now

So Asda it is for my next shop and their smart price range has some fairly good offers too like shower gel 10p , soup 17p , nappy bags for 27p , bleach 27p , toilet cleaner 25p , general purpose cleaner 25p , passata 25p and I got 2 champagne glasses @ 60p each , their KTC stuff is good and they are doing 10 kilo's basmati for £8

Plus the usual basic tinned spaghetti hoops 18p , plus the usual rice pudding and my daughter uses the smart price furniture polish and says its fine!

They are also doing a 500ml Asda handwash in zingy lemon etc for 54p and 5 toffee crisps for a pound which of course I couldn't resist!!

( I prefer their 12 pack of value toilet tissue too as the tesco new big 'uns aren't to my liking! lol )

I love the way you can arrange the items from low to high as you can't do that on T's unfortunately!!!
