I'm confused because theyre talking about dtd on the 1p thread?

This is the DTD when you are overcharged INSTORE. If the Shelf Edge Label (SEL) says £3 and it goes through the till at £5 you go to Customer services and they give you DTD of £4.

A good one for this at the minute is a Gordon Ramsey Dinner Set, marked up at 50% off Now £25 but scans at £50. instore DTD of £50 = Free dinner set :)

The DTD in Tesco with Asda is now just the difference.

Part of the Furniture Name Dropper
I have been using them plastic folders since DTD days and they are brilliant for the job and fit nicely in the handbag. were a freebie curtesey of Mt T's DTD

I am in desperate need of something good to keep my coupons in and keep them organised. Do you know if Tesco still sell these, if so, where would I find it, in the stationery section?

Mr T did a double the difference (DTD) price check which was very lucrative but was stopped.

the DTD that you can still get is only if they overcharge you on an item, not as lucrative but still worthwhile when it happens.

    I completely agree.

I do most of my dad's shopping as he works full time, but he had a day off the other day and said he was going to have a look in T's for a few bits. I told him to come round before hand, so I could give him some MOC's did he no! "oh it doesn't matter, it's only a few quid " same when he shops online, I tell him every time, "let me know before you buy anything, I will be able to find a discount code, free delivery or get cashback for you" He never listens.

My mum is just as bad, I don't see her that often, (long story) but I saw her up town and was telling her about the free dove deo, "oh I prefer sure" IT'S FREE goddamit woman. But she was happy that I went in to superdrug with her and used my Student Discount on the shampoo that she uses which was already 1/2 price.

I don't know where I get my moneysaving genes from :rotfl:

BTW I got my folder with a DTD voucher too :D

Lol, my boyfriend and daughter are the same - boyfriend was with me when I did a shop in Mr T, got reduced from £11 to £5. His reaction was 'wow!', so I sent him all the links to this forum and SSM - that was 2 weeks ago, and he hasn't looked at all. I've pointed out to him that he's missed free stuff because the vouchers have expired, but he just says he'll 'get around to it'

DD just nods politely, but says she doesn't have time to do it, even though I know her and her fiance have very little money.

*sigh* even if they'd just print off the vouchers on their computers for me to use, I'd be happy.:):):):):):):):)

Double the Difference there's lots of discussion on this over on the 1p thread https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/2711727 and the Tesco misprice thread https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/1656271. Don't think anyone has posted a pic yet. With DTD it's pot luck as to whether you tore is on top of changing the labels when deals end, as this is the most common way of overcharges.

Anyway back to coupon talk :p
I think people still think of coupons as back in the 60's when woman had to save every penny. They don't realise that it's not always out of necessity, it's just common sense ;)

    I've been Money Tipped!
    :DGood afternoon peoples..
I organize my coupons in the little business card wallets you can buy..the ones that are about creditcard sized with loads of plastic sleeves inside - i have one for Tescos with the few Asda coupons i get at the back, and another for non store specific and manufacturers coupons. they're perfect for my handbag and don't look too obvious when i'm looking through them in store.
You have to fold the coupons to put them in but i make sure i don't fold on the barcode and have the product face up so i can see at a glance. HTH;)
