Car dented in car park

Or the other option is to forget about it - There is more to life than a small dent on a car loosing value every day.
It's people with this attitude are why I refuse to take my nice car to a supermarket or similar, and will instead drive past the supermarket to my house so I can swap cars and drive back.
Likewise, it's why some people choose to take up two spaces.
Please don't ever park next to me, unless I'm in the works Mondeo in which case go ahead.0 -
I always find that people park next to me. If i pull into a space with nothing near me, when i come out i've got a car on each side. the other day i pulled in to a service station and when i came out a Porsche was parked next to me; they must be mistaking my MR2 for a Ferrari0

he might have thought he was parking next to a skip and had ideas of unloading some rubbish for free, of course;)

If a random car in a car park looks well looked after then it's often a good idea to park next to it.
Someone who looks after their car probably isn't going to open their door into yours, and thus it reduces the length of time that you are exposed to the risk of somebody parking up next to you in a K reg Renault Scenic and unloading an unfolded double pushchair through the side door.0 -
that's what i usually do, but my car is 18 years old... although it does look in good condition0

Unless it's a classic car which gains in value (like a £30'000 original condition Mk2 Ford Escort), but to the heathens is just "an old shed" and doesn't matter if it gets smacked about!“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”

Officially probably yes, however last time I was involved in an incident with a company hire car the fleet department forms were at pain to state that there'd be no record traceable to me if I just admitted to it.
I guess they're fed up of people lying because they don't want their personal insurance to go up.
On that note I think I speak on behalf of many when I say thank you for owning up to it and sorting it out.0 -

2 reasons for that:
1) Herding behaviour
2) Some people are such bad drivers they need a car to use as a guide when they park.“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”

if i have to park next to somebody then i'll aim for the car that's been reversed into the spot, as it's more than likely a bloke and he'll be more careful :whistle:0

*ahem*
Both me and my GF reverse into parking spaces and we both hate having people dent our doors and avoid denting others.
Then again we also both drive modified performance cars
