Brought voucher on ebay, not received - is there anything I can do?

I brought a £100 amazon voucher off ebay, new seller with only 1 feedback so a bit risky I know, paid with paypal. Seller said in listing I'd receive it within a few hours of paying but hadn't received anything a day later so I sent a message - no reply, getting quite worried now but ebay wont let me open a case as they don't offer buyer protection on vouchers, paypal wont let me open a case for the same reason it seems.. is the only option now to go through my credit card?

Paid £13 from money in my paypal account and the rest was from credit card.

Hope someone can offer some advice as I can't afford to lose the £90 I paid at the moment :(

You've lost your money in all likelihood. Credit Cards only have joint responsibility under Section 75 for purchases where you load £100 or more on the card.

There as been a campain for a while now - to get ebay to warn buyers that they have entered an area not protected by Ebay or Paypal. Most don't know - until its too late.

Ubfortunately, Ebay are not interested - as it brings them money in.

Not only will they not help you - they will not allow you to punish the seller in any way - and will not even give them a strike.

I told ebay they that by keeping the fees made from this type of fraud - they are actully a party to it and gaining money from the proceeds of a crime. My nephew lost £120. Of that, £12 went to Ebay and £6 went to paypal.

Not having a go, but it never ceases to amaze me how easily buyers will part with their cash and give it to a total stranger without any protection/safeguard....

It's really bad that ebay do nothing at all to help. Makes me very angry that this seller will get off scot free, especially as I've checked and this seller has sold a few other vouchers in the past few days :(

I know it seems stupid now but I've brought LOADS of vouchers off ebay before and never had a problem, and as this seller did have feedback for selling another voucher thought I'd be ok, but it seems that feedback was probably left by a friend to help them sell the vouchers :(

Who did you bry off? If you brought loads before, were you not aware of the danger before brying these ones you brought?

    Bryer beware!
