You BOUGHT not brought the item.
Brought derives from bring.
Bought derives from buy.June challenge £100 a day £3161.63 plus £350 vouchers plus £108.37 food/shopping saving

You wrote brought three times when you, presumably, meant bought. :rotfl:0 -

Does it really matter in the grand scheme of things? :rotfl:
Yes! Those that BUY things from Ebay ought to know that the past participial is BOUGHT.
Incidentally, there seems to be a strong correlation between those who "brought" stuff "of" ebay, and being scammed.
OP, did you give the seller a call? Was the number a fake one?Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -
When I sold a voucher a quite while ago, paypal would not release the money into my paypal account until the other buyer confirmed receipt and left me feedback. Can you definitely not open a claim of any kind through paypal? unless the rules changed again which is likely!BSC #215/No.1 Jan 09 Club0

I'm well aware that bought is to buy, brought is to bring.
However I think that as this is a board to help people to rectify problems they have with ebay, to then try & humiliate them because they've used the wrong word is a little pathetic.
Especially when used in conjunction with red writing & :rotfl:
It's not exactly helpful.
I expect the OP feels bad enough having potentially lost a fair amount of money.0 -

Ahh, thanks for explaining, I was blissfully unaware - shame spell check don't point out grammatical errorsOP, did you give the seller a call? Was the number a fake one?
Not yet, didn't quite feel brave enough last night, it was a number I found on directory enquires for the corresponding name and area, so can't be certain it's correctWhen I sold a voucher a quite while ago, paypal would not release the money into my paypal account until the other buyer confirmed receipt and left me feedback. When I went into the resolution centre on paypal and entered the transaction number it just said it wasn't protected by ebay buyer protection and to try and work it out with the seller. Anyone know of another way?0 -

Thank you Hermum, I appreciate the support
I do try and make sure spelling and grammar in my posts are correct but obviously this one wasn't, and whilst I don't object to it being pointed out to me - saves me making the same mistake again, my spelling/grammer wasn't really the point of the thread, as amusing as it may be.0 -
You can get the contact number for the seller through ebay.
I would do that & give them a call.
You've checked your spam folder closely haven't you?0
