and received the following...

So I think this means it has pinged!
How do I ping an actual website such as google or bbc?

Yes, I'm past the go live date.
The lights on my modem are as follows..
Power: Green
ADSL Link: Green
ADSL ACT: OFF
LAN: Deep orange
USB: OFF
Actually the ADSL link has just turned dark orange.0 -
I just done the ping test again...I'll post the results in a moment0

orange authenticated / flashing orange username/password problem.

I think the link light has to remain solid orange in order to indicate it has connected. It was solid orange so I launced IE and it brought up the homepage which is TalkTalk.
The link light then began to blink orange so the connection isn't working now.
It's still blinking orange so I can't connect. Actually. now it's gone green so I can't connect.
I phoned TalkTalk a couple of days ago and they went through various things. They thought perhaps my ZoneAlarm firewall was corrupted and perhaps was blocking access, so I deleted it and downloaded the latest version but it didn't make any difference.0
