ICS Learning issue

  • Bris, buyers remorse has nothing to do with it

Anyway, got in touch with Gatlin direct, and we are sorted, here is the email that has now been sent to ICS

This is very strange, on Friday night, I was on live chat to Gatlin, and they have no record of you explaining the reasons for me requesting a course transfer, simply asking what is the cancellation policy, you lot are un-believable. Gatlin were more than happy to transfer my course to another one, but they could not action it until Monday, so my account was put on hold. I then after another email from Gatlin, found out that they had in fact started me on the wrong module, and had in fact started me on a intermediate module, instead of the beginners, hence the reason I struggled.

You as a course provider should have known this, but from what I can gather, you know absolutely nothing, and once you have a customers money, you are not interested in helping them. I still have not had any contact with this so called Manager, total disgrace. You want to contact Gatlin, and ask them how they treat customers, which is a far cry from the way you do, ICS - Incredibly Crappy Service, and it is something that I will not be recommending to anyone that I know, and I will never be using you in the future again. Now do I expect a response, do I expect an apology, do I expect some form of compensation, no I am expecting nothing because that is what you have taught me comes from your side.

If that is the way your company is run, well words escape me.

    From a very Unhappy Customer

    lol nice reply!

I was going to post that there is NO WAY that the lesson 1 could be for a beginner with no programming knowledge, but as you've already had this agreed by Gatlin, then that's good!

Very poor customer service by ICS though, given it clearly didn't take you long to get in touch with Gatlin yourself.
Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)

    As you suspected :T

    :rotfl: Nice one

Glad you got it sorted :T Let's hope the Beginners course is how it should be.

(What's the betting that ICS reply stating that it was all Gatlins fault? :rotfl:)

  • Thanks for that, well on my way now, just about to do the exam 1 of lesson 1. It is easier now that I have been pointed in the right direction. It is the same course, but I was for some reason directed to a lesson that was almost at the end of the course, which said, intermediate, must have programming knowledge of C++. Now I am on the correct module it is fine. Gatlin were so helpful, it was un-believable and we managed to get it all sorted, without the help of ICS. I will wait to see what they come back with, mind you they have now had a letter of intent sent to them before I managed to sort this mess out, lets see how they handle that one lol

Thanks for the support, and I would point anyone in the direction of Gatlin, but away from ICS

One thing - make sure that Gatlin or iCS don't try to move you to a different course - now that you are on the correct part of the course & are happy don't want them moving you.

Was paid via PayPal, but as I have said, the course states no previous programming experience required

Did you use funds in your PayPal account? or was it from a credit card/bank account.

As I've already mentioned, with a credit card you will still have chargeback rights through visa/mastercard, regardless of the fact it was paid via PayPal.

So if you have paid via PayPal using your debit/credit card, and the transaction is clearly shown on your statement, you can make a section 75 claim with you bank

I can't post the link yet but search the MSE site for section 75, there's a whole section about it and how to get your money back

    EDIT:
Just seen the two entries above me but I thought it would still be worth a mention to anyone else reading!
