Disgusting...frankly I will boycott any company that advertises in it as well - can check at the newsagents without buying!0

Boycot the Sun, NOTW, Sky and The Times - not only will you show your objection to this disgusting activity, you won't give more money to Mr Murdoch.
Do you have sky telly vision? Do you watch Football or any international sports down the pub? Any of their freeview channels or ones that show on Virgin media or Freesat?
Just remember - this is all 'Alleged' and has not yet been proven in the eyes of the law.
I do remember that you were innocent until proven guilty on each count that you have been accused.. It appears that somehow you are now guilty and have to prove your innocence in the eyes of everyone. When did that happen.
And yes i do know they have admitted to hacking to celebs phones and all that - just these new allegations in the papers are just that until solid information is proven.Just because you have done things before doesnt make you guilty of the same crime happening again.
Oh yeh, how much FREE publicity do you think Ford and Butlins and that have got out of being so moral and announcing the end of advertising in the rag? TONS... well played them.. Saved them a few quid and got their names plastered everywhere and in everyones minds as much as NoTW today.:T:T:T:Tone of the famous 50 -

Really? Where will you now buy your 'Worlds most comfortable shoes' and stretchy pants from now??one of the famous 50 -
I'm just wondering in what "world" this is "news"...? The whole sordid affair makes me feel sick - as if the poor families of the victims haven't been through enough...
Personally, I feel that Murdoch already has FAR too much power in the news media and the way it is reported. However, I suspect that the News of the Scr*ws isn't/wasn't the only paper up to these sorts of revolting shenanigans - they are just the ones who have been caught.
Let's not forget also that it was the SAME newspaper under the SAME editor which started a campaign to hunt down and target p--dophiles - the most infamous result of which was a baying mob vandalising a house in Portsmouth belonging to a paediatrician. Ye gods.
But these developments in the 'phone hacking saga are utterly disgusting. It's sheer inhumanity on an appalling scale and, what's more, there doesn't yet seem to be ANY indication that at least somewhere in the whole wretched process just one person suggested "Hang on lads, I think this might be taking things a bit too far".0 -

Do you have Sky?0 -
This whole affair looks set to be even deeper and dirtier than anyone other than a conspiracy-theory crime author might envisage. Did anyone see Channel 4 News last night? They discussed the NOTW allegedly tracking (phone-hacking?) a senior policeman who was attempting to review the botched investigation into the murder of Daniel Morgan, a private eye suspected to have been murdered by other PIs with links to the Met and to NOTW.0

reader profiles that News International produce for advertisers
They are the sort of people who never wonder why the stories shown on the front page very rarely come true. Who gullibly respond to reader offers. Who avidly watch soap operas but rarely the news. etc etc.
Personally I think that the NOTW have gone wayyyyy too far in pursuit of their headlines.
But NI also produce the Times and Sunday Times...surely their demographic would be different? I assume that you suggesting that the NOW and Sun have demographics and audience segmentation specific to the publication and therefore it's not the entire News International organisation?
And these 'profiles' that they produce - are they profiles of their online audience or print audience or both? Becuase i can assure you that NI do not have any 'profiles' for anything other than print products, and this accounts for only half of their readership. And of those print readers, i would assume that only a percentage of their readers are the gullible !!!!!! that you seek to judge.
So actually only a small segment of the population are oblivious to the phone hacking scandal...unless i am missing something?0 -

Boycott News International and tell the 30 top advertisers listed above that they are threatening your customer loyalty by continuing their advertising. Coop turned around and have left the NOTW .... lets encourage all right minded corporations to do the same............... Have you ever wondered what

No to all the above. My life feels richer for it
As for 'innocent until proven guilty' - well on a balance of probabilities basis (like a civil court), the case against them is already somewhat stronger than the one for. They don't seem to have denied it, just the delightful Rebekah Wade pretending she knows nothing about what her newspaper did (making her either a terrible manager or terrible liar - and she doesn't seem to be terrible manager). A lack of outright denial is pretty damning.
And of course being a cabal, all the NI products will share info, so boycot the lot. If you really care about football, remember these guys are the reason it costs you money to watch what was always free to air before they locked it away and held it to ransom. The rest of their TV is just imports anyway, pretty much, not worth any money to see another load of US telly still with adverts plus costing more than the license fee.0 -

Shouldn't you also boycott shops that sell the newspapers too?0
