News of the World - utter scum

This is almost impossible to believe
According to this report, the NOW actually deleted messages from the dead girl's phone when they had listened to them giving here relatives false hope that she was still alive.
These people truly are the dregs of humanity.
The editor at the time is now chief executive of News International.
Perhaps people should consider whether they want to support this despicable organisation by continuing to buy their products.

There are two types of people in the world: Those that can extrapolate information.

The sort of people that buy New of the World are hardly those who will worry about a few ethical issues.0

Whilst I agree totally with this (and the hoo-haa about celebritie's phones being hacked left me totally underwhelmed with sympathy), I do think this latest news is appalling, especially for the Dowler family who have already been put through the wringer - when their daughter went missing, when her body was discovered and more recently during the trial of her killer.
I hope the police can prosecute those responsible for this phone hacking (not just the person who actually did it but those who employed him too), even if it's just for jeopardising the investigation.
It won't make me reconsider whether I want to support this 'despicable organisation' by buying their products because I never have.0 -
Absolutely appalling behaviour by News International, even by their very low standards.
Unfortunately, the sort of people who buy the NOTW and The Sun will not care or even comprehend.0 -

What these new papers did was absolutely deplorable and I wont be buy/reading their out put anymore! One day some company will do what they say they will do and charge a fair charge.:T
Not doing the opposite of that which they promise and charge you a fortune for the privileged.
Or maybe not:mad:0 -
...and this company want to take over BSkyB!?!?!? :eek:I spent 25 years in the mobile industry, from 1994 to 2019. Worked for indies as well as the big networks, in their stores also in contact centres. I also hold a degree in telecoms engineering so I like to think I know what I’m talking about 😂0

They have behaved badly for years. Why has it taken you so long? It's not superiority just common sense.0 -

Sadly, when it came to light that two-bit "celebs" such as Sienna Miller had been hacked into, I did not think it would end there.
If they could get a low-end celeb then there was no guessing how high up they would go with it0 -
