    I also got the message

Unfortunately, we are unable to confirm online whether you have been accepted, but we will write to you in the next 5 working days with our decision.

Is there a monthly/annual fee for this card?

Read no annual fee on post office info page :)

Really glad that this has been useful for people. A good encouragement to find more grabbits in future!

Some basic info for people asking questions about credit cards might help too:

    1. There is no annual or monthly fee for this card.
    2. I highly doubt that you have to spend on it in order for the cashback to arrive. I took out a Vanquis card last year, got £25 cashback, took the cashback, then cancelled, so there's no reason why this shouldn't work again.
    3. If you're not accepted online but are subsequently accepted offline, it seems that you can submit an enquiry through TCB and get the cashback that way. Stats of 99% successful applications indicate that this is pretty reliable.

Hope this helps, again, and I'll keep my eyes out for more offers!

    Matt

How long does this take to show up on your Quidco activity? I just did it, thought it would show up on activity right away (though of course I didn't expect it to show as tracked yet). I was accepted, card is on the way, so hope I actually get the quidco cash.

Also, did anyone get a confirmation email from the post office? I didn't get one.

Just applied in husband's name too, having got a "will write to you soon" message for my application. His income's higher than mine, but that didn't swing it - got the same "will write" decision.

Could it be that we didn't want an immediate balance transfer?

I would recommend the Post Office Card just for their fraud prevention alone. Twice when i have purchased off ebay through paypal they have rung me within a couple of minutes to see if it is a genuine transaction.

Their fraud prevention dept seem very switched on.

Hi. Applied for myself. Am a housewife so imagine that's why I was declined. Applied for husband and he got accepted. We didn't choose immediate balance transfer. Imagine they look at how many credit cards you already have...if it's a lot maybe they will decline. Just a thought.

We didn't want the balance transfer and they approved anyway. I'm sure the decision is based on some combo of income and number of cards already held.
  • can i get one for me n one for my husband via my TBC?or do i have to open another TCB account

Hmm... maybe that's it - 3 credit cards already held; is that a lot?
