How is little Jack tonight pulliptears?
I've just been stalking him in the garden trying to get a wee sample for the vets, great fun, especially in torrential rain
I managed to slide a tin tray under him quick and thankfully he chose to have a 'girls wee' this morning so a great sample obtained! It looks a heck of a lot clearer thankfully.
I kept him quiet yesterday, put ice in his water etc and he seemed to stop panting around 7pm and he does feel cooler. He also seems a lot happier this morning to (as happy as a dog can be when all its owner has done for 24 hours is say 'do you want a wee' then stalk him with a tin tray)
Should get some test results this morning from yesterday's bloods, plus hopefully work towards a more firm diabetes diagnosis. I suppose it's difficult because he has a few symptoms that may or may not tie in (poor coat, runny eye, water infection) but we'll get there.
This is Jack btw:
Thanks all for your kind words and thoughts btw, we appreciate it!0 -
He is GORGEOUS!!! What a little character. Don't pay any attention to that rather ignorant post from MichaelCR - you've done absolutely everything you possibly could. Jack's obviously very much loved and well cared for! Give him a hug from us.0

Aww, he's lovely. I often wonder if vets have ever had to chase their own dogs round the garden with a tray, there really ought to be an easier way
.
Hope Jack feels better soon.Good enough is good enough, and I am more than good enough!:j
If all else fails, remember, keep calm and hug a spaniel!0 -

What complicates it also is we have a much loved little Westie as well, so you cant rely on the poo/wee being from Jack, it could be from Bob
All I seem to have done is follow them round and my OH says if Jack could speak he'd be telling me in no uncertain terms to **** off!
