Nursery and Trips Out

If the nursery provide the food, do you really believe they wouldn't increase the price of the trip?0

More to the point I do not see why 3 year olds need to be taken on coach trips from nursery. They are far too young to be doing that sort of stuff unless their parents are with them as far as I am concerned.
My daughter recently went on a coach trip from nursery. They were all so excited about it! She talked about it non stop before she went, and it was lovely seeing all their beaming faces as they got on the bus and we waved them off. They had an absolute whale of a time and loved every minute of it.Here I go again on my own....0 -

Not doubting she had a good time but I still think it is too young to be going on trips with nursery.0 -

Just butter some bread, add some cheese and pickle* and pop into a lunch box. Bung a packet of crisps and a drink in and pop into a bag. Job done.
*other fillings are available, I personally like egg mayo.

My DD goes to a private nursery - All day trips are local so they go before / after dinner but I wouldnt kick up a fuss about providing a packed lunch for her should she need one.0 -
What's he going to do with the results of this straw poll anyway? Go running down to nursery saying "some people off the internet said you're mean and have to make sandwiches?"Little miracle born April 2012, 33 weeks gestation and a little toughie!0

Unfortunately for the OP most people, myself included, responded with something akin to 'just make her a bloody sandwich'.:cool:0 -
I can't believe you are so shocked at the thought of having to feed your child!0

TBH, I didn't see it as a thread about 'why should I feed my child?' more of a 'I pay the nursery every day, and part of that cost is to provide my child with lunch. On this particular day I'm having to provide lunch. Does that mean I'm paying twice?'.
We don't know whether the £13 charge already includes a reduction because the nursery's not providing lunch that day. Furthermore, it seems a little churlish to worry too much, even if you are paying twice - I doubt this is a frequent occurrence. But that aside, I think the OP's been a tad vilified for his question..."Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0
