I wanted to ask something a little different. I have been eyeing up a side unit for a couple of months and noticed a few days ago that it and a few other items in the range dissapeared from the within the full priced section of website. Do you think that this is a possibility that it went in the sale online and has sold out, as I cant see it in the sale listing pages (I only got a slot today so know it may have already gone) I really wanted this item and feel that I just want to know if it did or didnt go in the sale as I want the item regardless of the price, nut just cant find it anywhere on the website. Other than that, would going the home sale be the next best bet?

If it is not in sale listings and not in full price listings, it is just gone from stock I would think.
Then large store that has furniture is your next best bet. They might have it on display.

well i had my VIP slot yesterday starting at 6am-11pm.

unfortunately most of what i had wanted was sold out! feels like a bit of a con. do they have minimum amounts of stock? wouldn't have thought most would be sold out at thursday 6am

most annoying.i don't know how ppl managed to get a slot on the wednesday.

  • If I am setting my alarm for 4am and heading to a Home store, what can I expect? Is it really worth it? I'm kitting out my new flat but am dubious as that what will be in the sale and whether or not it will be a lot cheaper than normal..... And whether or not Internet would be better for home?

It is always 50% or less...

In my experience it's def worth it. Go with a friend if you can because an extra pair of hands is essential. Get to the store before it opens. Have a mental list of 'firsts'. Get them straight away and also pick up anything else you like the look of. Don't waste any time pondering about whether of not to pick things up otherwise they'll be gone along with a load of other stuff.
Most people have absolute arm fulls then retire quietly to a corner in the shop where they sort through what they have and then decide what they will buy - most people then pop the stuff they are not keeping onto a shelf (though some just dump it on the floor which makes me seeth).
Most shoppers are lovely, but gird your loins for some horrendous bad manners from other shoppers. I was once pinned in amongst other (nice) shoppers, selecting some additional plates off a shelf to go with the boxed set of dinner plates I had securely gripped between my legs on the floor, when suddenly a woman grabbed the box from behind me and literally ran off through the store with it - I was unable to go after her because I was pinned in and had an arm full of china!
The reductions are generally excellent - I always head for bedding and lighting first because that tends to go quickly.
    Hope that helps!
