    Let's go Choccybix.............
  • piggers I read that as "I have squeakery to get up" d'oh!

I would love to know how you are going to make life hard for KH...imitation being the sincerest form of flattery and all.

    Who is Dr Phil?

Load of washing on, dog walked and DD2 dispatched upstairs to tidy her clothes cupboard (she chucks them all on the floor when she is sent to her room) I have told her that the cupboard is getting locked if she doesn't pick up.

She hates it locked as then she has to wear clothes that are put out for her instead of choosing her own (she is channeling Helena Bonham-Carter sartorially)

She is 3...but starts school in Sept.
Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x

I do a computer sciency degree :D *hides from tech support questions*

Pretty pleased cause it makes it just a little bit easier for me to get an internship next summer. Exciting :j

Thanks again everyone for the congratulations. I'm thrilled :j just hope I can keep it up for another two years :p
congrats... If you want to talk about internships nearer the time, let me know as I used to be involved in selecting and [STRIKE]exploiting[/STRIKE] training interns for one of the better schemes in a previous life (one that pays well :))

Not at the moment he doesn't work :( .. which I don't think does him any good either.. but I can't force him out of the door! He couldn't afford his house when he was made redundant so moved here when I was pregnant with Squeak so he didn't have to go to his mothers and I think he feels it was a huge mistake now.

We don't seem to talk about anything if I am truly honest.. I talk he listens.. he talks I glaze over and make relevant grunts periodically..

    He isn't a very strong personality and I .. well.. I am... shocking that I know :p
It's pretty much all been said piggers, but you guys need to take time to talk. Can you get DD1 to look after squeak and go out for a few hours with OH to talk about why you're both making each other so unhappy? As for the working, I have some mentoring or coaching time free at the moment if he wants to try to make a start.

It's raining again :( but apparently it will be improving tomorrow

    Morning all :)
Just popping in to say hello - it's been a while, I have had yet another stomach bug! I have had more stomach bugs in the last year than I have ever had in my life! I've been to doc's - he said that mine and my youngest boy's immune systems are weakened. Youngest boy's school toilets are horrendous and I have worked with vulnerable students including seeing to personal hygiene. We use all the correct sanitary and health and safety procedures of course but the little darlings - and I honestly do love them and my job - tend to ahem, touch themselves in the wrong places and then try to hold our hands, put their hands on our faces, etc. So it may be due to this or - and I fully hold my hands up to this - my house needs a damn good scrub! My job has ended now so I have more time to put into our house :j Having said that I also need to find a job - mine has now ended and hubby is on long term sick waiting for op on his damaged shoulder of which there will be 4-6 months recovery period.
My stomach is still bubbling away so I'm going to get on with cleaning but little by little today :) I have a list of little things I have to do - mainly important phone calls that I will list below :)
Before that though (((((HUGS))))) to pigpen and lil me - hope things are sorted for both of you soon xx

    List

    Doctor
    Train times

    Dishes
[STRIKE]Breakfast[/STRIKE] (sorry - simple thing but makes me feel better :) )
    WM on
    TD on
    [STRIKE]Feed animals[/STRIKE]
    Declutter computer desk
    Declutter piano
    Declutter table
    Declutter table in kitchen
Offer table and chair on freecycle
    Declutter two boxes of books
    [STRIKE]Cook dinner[/STRIKE]
    Cook tea
    Feed animals again
    Iron
    Shower!

Ok think I'll leave it at that for now and see how I go :)

Hugs to anyone who wants/needs them xx
Will check back in later :)

Everything happens for a reason :)

Thanks for your tips ladies. I have actually used them all...but get told 'you're nagging', 'you're criticising', 'you're treating me like a child', or, my least favourite 'I'll do it'...I know he won't, but can't say that or I'll get yelled at, so there's nowhere for me to go with it.
  • HHC at 11, who's with me?

I went back to bed :o sigh.

greenbee thank you for the offer, I shall take you up on it in a few months. First thing - CV.
