Hello all.
RachelS re getting men to help..... well, my situation's different from yours as there's only the 2 of us, AND mine is one of the few helpful men on the planet to start with... but...
I always have a list of tasks (in my PDA - with lupus brainfog, I can easily forget basic things like change the bed!!:eek:) and I often say to him "right, here's what we need to shift, what shall WE tackle first?" If possible, we work together, with him doing the hard/dangerous bits, and have a good laugh. I don't know if this approach would help with your hubby, but it was a thought.:ogratefulforhelp wrote: »May book haircut...hair is majorly falling out.If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -

That or chopping wood always cheers DH up for some reason which I reckon he is much better in Summer than Winter when out of work. He doesn't mind being asked to do things I can't do. Maybe you could use your condition as an excuse.
He doesn't mind being asked to do anything... but 3 weeks later I may as well do it myself!

If he has ironed 60 items, you should rent him out.
rachel I think LW has a point. We quite often do a blitz - what can we get done between us in an hour, for example.
DW on, lunch done.Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0 -

When your CV is ready let me know, and I'll have a look at it. If at any point you can't find work, then make sure you get some voluntary work. You need your CV to show that you haven't just been sitting on the sofa during the holidays. And if you're working, you have fewer spending opportunities! Work doesn't have to be relevant to your degree, it just has to be work.
Oh, damncause that's what I do over summer!
Technically I've worked on and off for the same company for 3 and a half years - it's casual work so sometimes I don't bother ringing up for 6 monthsreminds me I need to get a few shifts when I go home.
I don't think about it cause I just don't need the money - I genuinely work for fun and cause I get to see my brother(and cause every now and again it's nice to see some money come in, not constantly go out
)
