I'm off to move Squeaks drawers onto the landing and start dismantling a wardrobe...

try suggesting to OH that you make the tea and he does the manly shifting of heavy stuff... If he declines maybe you can drop something heavy on his laptop as you struggle to lift it...

Computer engineering and he was working for a friend who has his own business and couldn't afford to keep him on. There is nothing at all here that is even a remote possibility.. the 'nearest' thing the jobcentre came up with was a maths teacher.. which obviously he isn't qualified for!

in fact other than the 6 months with his friend he hasn't had a job related to his degree ever.. he worked in his dads shop after leaving uni until going to friends job.

Piggers, what about the inheritance he recently got from his Grandmother...can he not contribute to some of the house repairs? You say he bought himself an Xbox...why..he's the father of a baby, with another on the way and there you are struggling to find money???

Didn't you say ages ago that you have put him down as a carer for one of the little ones who get the Disability Living Allowance...unless I'm missing something here, surely you are setting a pattern of dependance...with you always being the driver in finding money, supporting others, trying to protect...when he isn't even helping much unless asked.

Part of being a partnership is exactly that, a partner, not a passive observer whilst the OH struggles...like you do. x

Bit tired today...work is workish and I'm glad its friday.

I'm off to work out tea, then hopefully do something fun.
