He isn't allowed to do anything houseworky.. she nags him about other stuff like moving boxes and tuning in dvd players etc but he is not expected to even make his own food!!!!

Why oh why do women bring up boys this way - and then are proud they have someone domestically useless? Is it a bid not to lose them to another woman??

rachels I would start with " If you're not busy right now will you do x please?"
The response will tell you what you have to work with. If he sees sitting around as busy, change the question to "If you're not doing anything useful ..."

Anyway, I am off to bed.. I have sneakery to get up to in an hour or so :p

    OOOhhhh!! I'm intrigued :D
Pigpen - OH needs to be employed (obvious, I know). I know jobs are not that easy to come by, but in the absence of paid work YOU will have to 'employ' him. If he 'works' for you, he can 'earn' priviledges (sp?) like lappy time or X Box. If he is gonna act like a child, then treat him like one. He obviously has too much time on his hands!!

Up & dressed, but that is about it. I have 4 children this morning (from 2 yr old to 10 yr old) and I need to find something to do to occupy all of them. The weather is not on my side :( I had planned to go to the beach or something (when I had 3) but now I have too many for the car (when you add DD2 into the equation)

Need to put washing in TD, and make toast for kiddies. Flying will have to wait until the weekend methinks :(

Piggers, inho, if someone thinks, dreams, pretends to be with someone else, yearns to be with them and is emotionally unavailable for you...then they are cheating, in the worst possible way...with the heart and mind and it's right in front of your face.!! Which I think is disrespectful and rude.

    Never mind sends presents....!!!!!!.

You know what to do, you're vulnerable obviously because of your pregnancy and your phobia of being alone...plus of course of that small matter of loving him.

Today I have disinfected the sink and put the DW on Hot Wash with vinegar to neutralise the smellyness...

  • Morning ladies :D I think I put my rubbish in the wrong bin (it has my house no on one side, but next door on the other...) but then it doesn't matter cause it was the only one out! I mean who doesn't ask when bin day is when they move into a place?!

Anyway, I have a long long list of stuff to clean, and then the OH is coming over later to undo it all. :p Need to tell him to bring some bedding! :p

    Morning all

Tips for getting kids/hubbie etc to help (in no particular order)

Make sure they know what is expected clearly
(one of DS2's jobs is bin emptying - he did not realise I meant every day, he thought I meant when full)
Write it down for them, crossing off a list works for lots of people
    (with time scales if necessary)
Let them feel they have a choice
(would you like to cut the grass or hoover the house)
Ensure there are rewards and consequences
(I'll iron your shirts whilst you wash up or for my kids - jobs=pocket money - no jobs- no money simple

Dr Phil is great with his life rules. My favourite one is that people treat you how you allow them to treat you. You set it up this way so you are responsible for it too.

Quickly going to do my dailies and then off to town.

Piggers ((hugs)) I know you'll make the right choice and decisions as that's what you do best
Poohbear *kicks up rear* there you go!
Dusty I like those rules, I need to address this with my DS1, DS2 is an angel and he tidies both the bedroom and play room all the time which means DS1 does s@d all!

Rant alert but need to get it off my chest - Unfortunately friend trying to rip me off has took another twisted turn, I asked him for repayment so he's chosen to get his father involved who he's only told half the story to. I set him straight on a few things. A good sincere friend has read his awful email and is now insisting I take him to court, she's offering to cover the costs, solicitor fees etc, yes she can afford it but I don't want her to. In all the times I've helped other people I have never been disrespected like this. I haven't told DP yet about the email from him yet as he's been working this weekend is tired and has man flu so I'll tell him on Monday. Some people just make me feel sick.

Right *shakes head* I have a mountain of studying to catch up with. I've put DS1s duvet in the washer straight after the other 2 loads I've done just hoping I don't need to use the TD for it. Hopefully it will dry out on the ground as some more bits for DPs car needs fitting and I need to poo patrol/trim lawn again. I need to package up a couple of fleabay bits that have sold. DSs room and toy room need damp dust and windows cleaning. Table in front of me (major hotspot) needs clearing and got some paperwork I need to complete.

Suppose I should get a wriggle on, have a nice day all xx
One day I might be more organised...........
