My white list so far is: Zanussi, Miele, Neff, Siemens, Bosch,
So-So list: Indesit (also known as Hotpoint, Ariston, Scholtes and Stinol), Frigidaire (owned by Electrolux), Whirlpool
Black list: Beko, LG, Samsung, Smeg, CDA

Can anyone help me with those lists? Please post your bad and good experiences, maybe not only Brand but model-specific, and I will update those lists in this first post. Thanks

Indesit washing machines are very good. I have the WIXL163 which has been faultless for 3 years now. They probably don't make this specific model now.

Why is Beko and LG off the list? Asking out of curiosity, I have no dogs in this race :)

I used to have Beko washing machine in rented flat. Never again - all my clothes were smelling washing powder after a wash. And the landlord was saying it works perfectly

My mate who repairs washing machines(22yrs) advised me that zanuzzi machines are the best hands down.

    Miele, Neff, Siemens, Bosch...
If it looks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, we have at least to consider the possibility that we have a small aquatic bird of the family anatidae on our hands

I wouldn't touch Beko with a 10' pole after the utter crapness that is my oven, the door doesn't close properly so it wastes a bit of heat, which also destroyed the plastic surrounding the electric started so that one day I pushed it into the oven.

I thank god I don't have kids at the front of it gets bloody hot as well

Just checked, and Beko is the cheapo brand they put it our furnished flat. Cleans my clothes just barely, but not my wife's apparently if you ask her ;) Still, better than the dirty, ancient thing that we had them remove.

They used to be the best, by a long shot. This isn't the case any more though. They are now made with pretty much the same components as the Electrolux and lower spec AEG washers.

Miele machines are the best hands down...

Beko cooling aplliances are the only Beko appliances I would recommend. Their cooking and cleaning appliances really aren't very good...
