Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker
I'm going to have a play tomorrow......got some recipes out of a library book for making your own soaps, shower gels, colognes. I have a load of essential oils, a plastic bottle of rose water (99p Mr T's) and some Sainsbugs Basics vodka - going to make some splash cologne, and maybe use that unopened tin of Nivea I've got to make a body butter with some exotic oils mixed in. I know you might think it a criminal waste of vodka, but that stuff is also used for my home made fruit liqueurs and that batch of vanilla extract I've got festering on the windowsill (recipe from someone on the old style thread - split a vanilla pod, put in a screwtop jar and cover with vodka, keep for 3 months giving it a shake every day. Apparently it goes really dark brown and smells fabulous when it's ready to use). There you go - true MSE style - several uses for one thing!

So pleased I got another NSD today, should manage at least one more before the week is over.

I actually thought Igor had posted under Nargle's name there! You know what he's like if you take your eyes off him for a second! :rotfl:

No NSD today. :( Was in a different office from my lunch at lunch-time and needed to eat. Gutted - mostly because I was so busy today I never made it to the post office before it closed as I intended. So now I need to also spend tomorrow or my nephew won't get his pressie in time.

Has anyone heard from BDINI recently? I can't recall her being around for a little while?

BDINI hasn't been around for a few weeks, LittleMissHappy. Last I heard she was having some poota/internet problems. Hope she's OK.

Snap! Me too Spoon! My mini-roll continued with 3 more NSDs caught since my last post, so yesterday was NSD number 6 meaning I've reached my mini-challenge target of 6 NSDs in-a-row! :j

However, my cupboards are now very bare, so if I don't spend on a top-up food shop today, I will definately have to tomorrow!

Have a good rest of the week everyone, Jinty hope your mouth is feeling better, and good luck catching more NSDs everyone! chicken1.gif

No spending but serious browsing so better make sure I award myself my no spend NSD No 1
Looked at Crockpot Saute 5.7L Slo Cooker on Amazon as larger Cooker is better from a point of view of fitting chickens in and other large meats in pot plus veggies instead of squeeze current set up has.
Books Me and my books are big pals. Academic Books are my secret lust or one of them a key lust, just as I can't afford to buy clothes every week so I can't afford books every week. I have phases where I have a book orgy, clothes orgy or foodie orgy. There is cunning thinking behind Academic tomes which goes beyond any accusations of extravagance.
I often do things that get misunderstood and or derided but that smack of life giving genius as sometimes one has to break the rules be they implicit ie pall of death here, and swearword will live. Hence reading Part I Summer Phase of Dress Buying (Part II Winter Dresses to come esp for Scottish frame).
Anyways that's my little speech and hello folks and best wishes to all in NSD land AND Spending Land (the other side of the equation!!!!!!).:beer:
