    Hi,

NSD 2 for me yesterday. Direct debits out today so already a spend, may use this as my petrol buying day as well, 2 birds 1 stone! Rode bike to work today, could just do that tomorrow also I suppose, put off the petrol buying a little longer?! If my legs can handle it...

:j Well I have some news: I GOT THE JOB!!!!! :j

Just had the phone call. I need to settle on a start date and it depends on references. Its a small pay increase but means that life with DH should be a little bit more stable!

I just want to thank you all for your support and words of encouragement. I have found the last 6 months very difficult but the chat and general banter on this thread has made it A LOT easier. I have to say that this thread is more than a challenge to increase the number of NSDs and once again I want to thank Spoon for all her hard work. It can't be easy to keep this up but we all appreciate it. Once I am settled, I will be more than happy to lighten the load.

Everything seems to be slotting into place.

    Will catch up later.
    xx

Thanks for the lovely welcome :D

May not achieve an NSD today as DS1 needs new trainers. Have found a pair of Adidas trainers on JJB for £8.50 (for a size 5!) and earned £1.20ish in cashback too! Pretty pleased with that as I normally get the no branders from Sports Direct with a budget of £15 per pair so with cashback that's half price for a pair of trainers that DS1 (who is 12) wont complain about for once.... don't know why he bothers I never give in lol Did explain that he's only getting adidas because they were the cheapest and not because I'm bowing to pressure hahaha

Must get on with gardening today, weather here has mentioned rain for the last few days so better make the most of it (even though they have been wrong everyday so far!)

Have a good day everyone x

My mum used to do this, she got so annoyed with the whining that she told us our budget and left us to get on with it, it is surprising how creative you can get as a kid... I can just imagine the fun nowadays with the internet...

Well my NSD has floated away today... I walked into work, with my pack up... all the while knowing I needed tabacco... so I'm weak but I went to our canteen and got some soup to go with my lunch, then bought a couple of books from the bookchaps, so thats 6 squid and I haven't even got what I need yet **hangs head in shame**

    ooops

  • Well done rock_cakes! Excellent news :j:j

Reporting in with NSD#5 due to a slight change in plans. Taking the DC out for a treat tomorrow as they have been super today despite missing out on visiting friends.

We're off to the UK on Thursday so will be very spendy the first week and then should calm down after that. I have two more definite NSDs for aim for before we go and a possible third but will have to wait after that.

Off to the ring the bank, yet again, about a missing transfer. Wish me strength :D

And it's 2 for the Nargle!!!!

Congratulations about the job, Rock Cakes, you'll have fun sitting down and working out a new monthly budget - get yourself a little treat though to celebrate. But make sure it's on an already spendy day so as not to spoil your run of NSDs!
