Great news on the job Rock_cakes - well done you :T:T
Kerri - I can beat your handwash bargains - last week I got two bottles of Sainsbugs Basics baby bath stuff for the princely sum of 5 pence each!!!! Ideal for topping up handwash dispenser bottles, using as bath or shower soap, washing out your smalls, using as shampoo - maybe even bathing a baby if you can find one hanging around....

Has anyone ever told you no one likes a show off Nargle :p..lol! I'm only kidding, perhaps I will try the baby bath stuff next time, though I need to be careful with some stuff as my skin can be randomly sensitive - there was some handwash that I used before, supposadly all dermo tested etc etc and really irritated my hands...can't think what it was now...hope it wasn't Dove :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Spoony - it's the fear of those kippers that has driven me to my excessive bargain hunting ;) hee hee! I actually feel quite honoured being comapred to Cheryl-the-bargain-magnificent :D I am actually getting quite addicted to the coupon and bargain threads, it was only the thought of losing a NSD that stopped me looking for the 25p toothpaste at Mr S today. I do however have a list for Mr A at the weekend of items I have vouchers for that I should be able to get 'free' or 50% ...now I bet they'll have no stock in.... Tieing it in with a trip to the big orange DIY store so long as the voucher I ordered has turned up.

And the good news is that I can also confirm NSD #4 :j Did wander into town at lunchtime with my friend today, and into Mr T but I didn't buy anything. Did feel a bit hurt as she wouldn't let me have her Clubcard points even though she didn't use hers (I'm not even sure she has one even though she said she did) Words along the lines of 'noooo, stoppit you !!!!!' Still feeling somewhat hurt about that now

I'm going to have a play tomorrow......got some recipes out of a library book for making your own soaps, shower gels, colognes. I have a load of essential oils, a plastic bottle of rose water (99p Mr T's) and some Sainsbugs Basics vodka - going to make some splash cologne, and maybe use that unopened tin of Nivea I've got to make a body butter with some exotic oils mixed in. I know you might think it a criminal waste of vodka, but that stuff is also used for my home made fruit liqueurs and that batch of vanilla extract I've got festering on the windowsill (recipe from someone on the old style thread - split a vanilla pod, put in a screwtop jar and cover with vodka, keep for 3 months giving it a shake every day. Apparently it goes really dark brown and smells fabulous when it's ready to use). There you go - true MSE style - several uses for one thing!

So pleased I got another NSD today, should manage at least one more before the week is over.

    £2 savings jar £300:D
Total credit card debts £1250:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad: - Will I ever learn!!
  • That is such great news Rock Cakes - well done x

kerri gt - some people just don't 'get' saving money iykwim...I know someone who won't use her club card vouchers because she thinks it looks like she hasn't got any money  (don't see the point in having a club card then, though?!?!). She probably has no idea she made you feel so horrible xxx (although I have to say that I don't call my friends names!)

Has anyone heard from BDINI recently? I can't recall her being around for a little while?

Thanks guys for all your messages. Needless to say DH was very happy. Maybe cause I said once I got a job he could get a road bike on the cycle to work scheme. :rotfl:

Good suggestion about a treat Nargle, was thinking maybe a pedicure before going off on holiday.

And I also managed another NSD, so thats me up to 2.

    Have a good evening.
