Ohhh dear oh dear.
Here's me planning what i'll spend my credit notes on when i open a letter from the bank...
My overdraft charges, okay not bad but not a surprise. Read on...
Then it's the payments that have attempted to come off my account but they have not been allowed. £300 rent payment. Not been paid. I thought this had been paid on 1st of month. Hence why i was 22.07 over my overdraft. No. This is what head in sand syndrome does, you don't read bank statements.
So that will need to come from my pay along with the £200 i already owe le boyf giving a total of £500. Before i pay money towards girls (£300). I'll then have around £200 to last me 2 weeks. Will need to reassess the budget and see if £200 will last me the 2 weeks, see whats on. Should do.
Ohh booo not a nice note to got to bed on. I WAS DOING SO WELL ASWELL!!! GOSH DARNIT!

hi hows it going?
:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j0 -
Hi Clippy, thanks for checking in! Hope all is well, had such a crazy week not had much chance on the comp!
Well progress has been made. I got paid and used my first wage to pay out alot of debts, 40 quid to my sister, 90 to my mate for holiday. The 300 for the rent (that i missed - see above).
I was running low and left with 1.30 in my bank account when i got paid again - PHEW couldn't believe i was in that situation again so quickly.
Used this wage as a 360 payment to the girls holiday (which has actually been paid now so can't dip into). So only 240 left!!! 100 payment for a wedding i was at weeks ago has came off (totally forgot about), paid back the 200 i borrowed to le boyf plus another 100 for expenses this month (new hoover). Paid 60 min payment to cc and an extra 40 (100 total). Got approx 400 left before next pay (28th July) so hopefully that should last! Will then reassess debt repayments.
My work is moving to monthly pay so on 28th My 2 week pay will need to last 4 weeks so i'm thinking that is going to be tricky to deal with the first few months. So my dilemma:
1) Do i pay out whatever i have left to debt so its gone and i don't spend it.
2) Do i keep it in anticipation of my 1st monthly pay struggle.
Im thinking i split the risk and pay 200 to my mum. As she asked the other day about if I'm still making payments. I think i should. Then i've got a 200 buffer. Plus i have the good feeling that i made payments to debt this month.
Either way i'm glad i've paid out alot of the silly debts like the 40 to my sis etc as at least whats left i can deal with as i see fit. Still owe 25 to my gym but thats it.
Also new discovery this week - ALDI. I stay city centre so theres not many big shops near me. The Aldi is brill, bought lots of veg and made soup for this week. Well carrot, leek and onions soup! Got tomatoes to make a batch tomorrow night and that should last the week for lunches. Nothing big planned the next two weekends and no birthdays or anything so good on that front.
Erm thats about it! Hope all is well!

I agree about having a buffer
chevI want a job that is less than an hour driving away from my house! Are you listening universe?

Sounds like some very good steps in the right direction.
So your sister's loan is paid, and you are more than half way to paying your friend the holiday money... and knife-weilding Mum hasn't caught up with you yet!
Would it help if you set up a standing order for your Mum? It might reassure her and you'll get used to it going out so you won't miss it. Just make sure you stop it when it's paid back!
You could always top it up with any money saved from the 'buffer' which I'm sure would go down well!
How are you doing on the no-toiletries-till-December front?Miggy

I meant to say - we don't have an Aldi near us but I go when I can. It sounds as though they're particularly good for vegetables? Netto (nearer for us) does a good range of fruit and veg at good prices too.Miggy

Hey miggy!
No as my diary describes i'm teflon
The mammy can't get hold of me long enough to kill me! :rotfl:
Yeh no toiletries is going surprisingly well. Shampoo & conditioner, and 2 bottles of perfume (£50). Raked out the moisturiser and fake tan and have been using it ALL! Completely ALL out of perfume usually i have about 5 bottles on the go so waited until i had emptied all before i purchased. Purchased cheapies instead of my usual Chanel. Cheapperfumesmells i think is what the place is called. Seriously reasonable.
Listen to me "my usual Chanel"...you see how much in denial i was??? What a loser...i smelt great but was have bags under my eyes from lack of sleep due to debt...anyone think this should be concealer?!?
Had to buy work shoes. Literally HAD to. Heel coming off last pair. Shopped about and decided i wasn't spending any more than 30 bucks (my last 2 pairs were like 60/70) and got a brilliant pair from M&S for 19.50 - RESULT!!!
TODAY IS PAY DAY!!!! BUT before I get excited about it i'll list what i have to pay...
So I have 1,800 in my account (not actually a full months pay - i did say i have an alright job) if i got rid of my spending addiction i could probably clear my debt easily by crimbo. IM TRYING GUYS IM TRYING. I SERIOUSLY NEED SOMEONE TO TAKE MY MONEY OFF ME AND GIVE ME A BUDGET!!!!
Events (not including my bills/rent/phone/misc etc) don't have my spreadsheet at home to see what this actually totals.
My sisters wedding is in September. Im the only bridesmaid and i said i would pay for her Flowers (about a year ago) and that i would pay for all my accessories! Flowers are costing £500 bucks and the accessories cost 100 which i bought this month! Got LOVELY shoes from DUNE AND a matching bag! Gorgeous. I'm so excited as A) I LOVE THEM and
i'll wear them again. Made sure that they were very plain (but gorgeous of course) so that they will go with anything!
Sisters hen weekend! (will cost i estimate erm 250 bucks?)
Girls weekend (I've to pay 240 to that still - getting withdrawn tomorrow(along with sisters flower money) and put in an envelope in the knickers drawer
)
Anyway the hotel room is costing me 314 (EEK) But one of those situations where i CAN'T NOT PAY IT. Only one sister yeh know?!? Anyway plus side is i think i'll have my next pay before i need to pay that one so PHEW.
The boyf and I were going to book our holiday this week, a wee cheeky week after my sisters holiday. Not sure where yet we were going to check out some deals, budget is 400-600 and looking for somewhere AWESOME and all inclusive. Things have been REALLY crazy for us both recently with work where we literally haven't stopped so really looking forward to a nice relaxing weekend!
My freezer is FULL of food (despite me knowing this i STILL was purchasing food) to the point that there is no room so my full is NO food unless fresh vegetables until the meat is empty from the freezer.
Anyway sorry peeps quite a DULL summary but keeps me right :money: ! Noticing a theme...i'm one of these people where people dont know the extent of my debt so im always kind of "keeping up appearences...yeh know?!?! As i have quite a good job so my friends think when i say i'm skint its like ohh yeh "skint" they don't realise that means erm 1.30 in my bank account.
So im sticking with not buying any clothes, need to seriously lose some weight! Not much about a stone but it would REALLY make a difference to my clothes wardrobe! For the wedding and for holiday. I recently got a puppy
I should have factored him into the costs. Anyway soon he can get out so i plan to be walking LOTS AND LOTS with him. He's a wee rescued dog! Love him SOOOO much but trying to be strict..they're not always going to be this size!
Well...i think thats IT!!! x0 -

Remember there are people who will buy empty perfume bottles on Ebay!

LOL, well at least it wouldn't cost you anything!
The work shoes sound like a good buy.
And you needed them so no guilt. And as for the wedding shoes...
okay they sound gorgeous! Lots of expenses coming up so now's a good time to be living out of the freezer. You could join the Store Cupboard Challenge thread if that will help you organise and use up what you already have.
As you say though - it's a one-off, so I hope you have a great time!
And awwww...! to the little rescued puppy! What breed is he?
Looking back over your post... I'm concerned you might end up in a worse financial position in a couple of months than you are now, what with all you've got to pay for. I hope you don't mind me saying but you could do with a strategy to minimise the damage. Any ideas?Miggy

Also (yes thats right believe it or not i have MORE to say)...
Going to try and use this as a spending diary (will be quite boring to read but will help me).
Only expense should be lunches and the odd vegetables/drinks etc.
HARDCORE 8 weeks diet starts tomorrow. Starting am with some interval training on the cross trainer and rowing machine/or bike before work! Going down to get weighted aswell so i'll divulge that tomorrow night - EEK!!! x0 -
Just read Bad Weather's diary as yours Miggy from seeing the signature. I got to the bf bit and I was thinking 'wow things are REALLY changing in her life'.
Bad weather - I'm in the middle of the 200 sit up programme. It takes about 10 mins 3 days a week and costs nothing and it's working (although I can't get off the floor at the end of it!). Just thought it might complement the aerobic stuff.
