I'm sorry to hear that...... :(

Was this due to the merger between T-Mobile and Orange?? I also see that the head office for Everything Everywhere is now in Hatfield, which as i understand was T-Mobile's head office.

Yup, the lease on the building was coming to an end, which everyone knew about. But they said they'd move the cc to another building in Bristol if they didn't renew.
Then the merger kicks off, all the cc staff are dragged into meeting one morning and told that the lease isn't being renewed and the cc is being closed down not moved...
Since then more depts have been chopped and the work outsourced to the same company's that T use. . .

Or, you didn't have the pleasure of hearing it from the horses mouth and found out on the news, as the late shift weren't required to go into work on the day they announced we were being made redundant!

With regards to Orange, it depends on which dept you speak to as to where they are located. North Shields deal with CS, Billing, some tech support. Plymouth is premier customers, iphone and tech support. I believe handset faults has been moved overseas and majority of payg is overseas. HTH

T-Mobile when I had the misfortune of being with them were in the Philippines.

I found their annoying "follow the flowchart", scripted, robotic demi-American voices one of the most annoying experiences since Michael Barrymore on Strike It Lucky. Getting a PAC was like pulling teeth and they tried to cling onto me like a dog with a bone. During the notice period they would ring me at tleast twice a week to offer the world to get me to stay.

    Desperation never impresses me.

I am with GiffGaff now who I don't think have any call centres to get annoyed with. And their tariffs are VERY reasonable. They are based on O2 though so you may have reception trouble

IMO you would be better off getting a 0% purchase credit card and buying your iPhone outright SIM Free and spread the cost of the handset. You would then be free to go to any provider and jump providers if you used PAYG or the 30 day rolling arrangements.

I transferred from Orange to T PAYG and boy was it a nightmare. I thought Indian call centres were bad, but the Fillipino ones are even worse.

They dont seem trained, cant do anything properly and some need to be told twice the same info.

3 of them set my account wrong. Even though I was given free minutes my credit was being deducted.

Tesco mobile, Orange, HTC & INQ have theirs in Poole...or at least some of their calls go there. My boyfriend works for them in the Tesco department.

If I tell you who I work for, I'm not allowed to help you. If I don't say, then I can help you with questions and fixing products. Regardless, there's still no secret EU law.
