Have a wee read through the first page of this thread as it gives you an idea of what's happening here!
Happy PADding

Thanks Girlatplay. Had a look at the first page but not so much information for the beginners, only totals of how muc the group has paid.
I do get the jist of it though.... pay something a day to your debt.
Was looking for a bit more on what to do daily.... do i just post the amount i pay every day? Does someone look after totals, or would i post totals each time they have changed?
If someone could tell me what they do, and any hints and tips on how to keep track i'd be most grateful
(Apologies... im sure you all get asked the same questions over and over)

Hi Forgotten
We have a counter upperer each month who does the daily totals and then posts a monthly total at the end. Just make sure you post your pad in a big bright colour so it's easy for them to see
Other than that, there is no rule on how much you pay or even if you pay every day!

ETA: if you want to keep a personal track of how much extra you are paying by padding then I'd keep a list in excel or something of the pads you make. Also, some people count min payments, others dont, it's entirely up to you!Became Mrs Scotland 16.01.16Became homeowners 26.02.16

If you are on your computer/laptop then there is an 'advanced' button underneath the text box, if you click on that then it gives you more options
Mwahahahaha we have you now

I PAD in "real" money, i.e. I put change in a tin (nearly) every day and post the amount on this thread. At the end of the month I pay it into the bank. I keep track of it on a spreadsheet and update my signature with it to keep me right. I think some people PAD online, i.e. from one bank account to another or from their bank account directly to their cc / loan / mortgage / etc. It is just whatever is easiest for you.
Hope that helps a bit moreMortgage at 12/07/2022 = £175,000

Thanks for all the good wishes.... I hope I'm on a more even keel too soon. It's exhausting and makes me into a human dog being like this
....
Thanks for being so understanding too. I am your MH awareness training for the week :rotfl:
So yeah little more sleep (don't know how)...but nightmares @ 4am so got up...and then slept from 8-11 and got to bed about midnight..... went to drop in (sorry this is so fragmented - trying to wake up LOL)
Forgottendreams...You might find the following link helpful (I know I did) http://www.whatsthecost.com/snowball.aspx for help beginning your padding
..Pardon if I'm giving you unsolicited advice and telling you how to suck eggs.....
Also you don't need to buy an office program. Libre Office is quite good as is open office.
If you can't be bothered with spreadsheets then a notebook is fine too. Just keep 'menu plans' and grocery lists at the front - first page from the back - regular bills out and when they come out and then like padding and budget at the back...or whatever you prefer..Find it helpful personally to know what DD's are coming out and when.
So yeah welcome Forgottendreams and now you've joined you realise you can't leave LOL
