    morning all!

Sorry for being awol last week - long story long week!

    PAD £26.44 towards Tesco CC.

Somehow managed to screw up my budget this month but its pay day on Thursday :) also not sure what to do with my PADs now. So I paid off mint last week :) and I know the snowball says I should tackle hfx next but its the highest balance and will take me at least a year to get rid of where as I could clear tesco in 3-4 months. I know its the wrong way round but am leaning towards paying tesco first - any thoughts?

i think one of the snowball calculators tells you some people prefer paying off smaller loans first. i couldn't understand it at first because i simply felt that i should pay off the one with the highest interest rate first and save most money that way - but then i read the explanation on the snowbally thingy, that it's such a strong psychological driving force to know you'll pay off a whole debt in the forseeable future (rather than making tiny payments to an enormous debt which feels like you're getting nowhere) and it made perfect sense :) i think go with whatever keeps you most motivated :)

    Hi everyone,
Thanks GAP and erme - at the moment we are trying to save every spare penny possible and also trying to make extra money been adding things to ebay and gonna do a bootfair in contract with mobiles so cant do anything about them home phone and broadband is £23 a month for everything and sky is just at the very basic only one package £20.50 (can cancel if have to as not in contract) already on cheapest leccy and gas as recently changed. Will check out the frugal living thread as recommended thanks Erme.
Had to pay a £40 bill today that my oh had borrowed of a friend on a night out after I gave him a budget and he thought oh well I will blow that and extra I am so annoyed at him as he come home totally drunk so he ended up sleeping on doorstep that night as I locked him out lol
    PAD today £0.36.

If you can do without the sky try plusnet SAM...they have some good offers on right now. I currently have discount (cos I complained) so my currently internet (60gb download) and phone (unltd 01 & 02) is about £25 a month. Without discount it would be £30 but shop around and see if you can get that cheaper...try BE Broadband or 02 if you're with them for mobiles...

I am off the frugal board to my paranoia....there's no point going back as most of them have me on iggie but that's life...I have issues with them other than paranoia but still....try it - might help you S.A.M. - if it doesn't nothing lost...

No PADs till the end of the week and maybe not till next Tuesday depending if I get paid or not. IS review form has arrived but they want it posted by the 19th and I can't get it posted till the 20th at the earliest as I can't do those horrid DWP forms so the welfare right's worker is doing it with me. I might have a look at it and see if I can do it....I don't know...it's pretty straightforward...just one blank space I don't know how to fill in...

And I have the horrid virus that's going around so today I'm straight on ebay ordering eucalyptus (it's less than £2 on there inc P+P) and mandarin as a treat to cheer me up in the bath...How come essential oils are so much cheaper on ebay?
