More good frugal news- found 5p, earnt £15 in vouchers from 2 survey sites and scrumped more free apples which I'll cook up later this week. Had a change of plan for tea as found lots of veg lurking- soup and cheese on toast to use it all up and stop that naughty waste.

That's lovely Aril!
Made my walk -went to the City Farm which always cheers me up.
Also managed to walk back - thought I may have to get the bus due to my legs.
Was all set to walk out the door to go for a swim when a friend turned up so that put paid to that.
Mini spend in Lidl and I found two pennies! Here dead we lie because we did not choose

Aril that is one totally gorgeous cushion :T I love owls and for some reason started a little collection a few months ago, even though previous to that, I wouldn't have anything bird like in the house because my Mum, Bless her, always said birds in the house were bad luck. Now I have 6 on my mantelpiece and one of those is an owl 'russian doll one' iykwim and I have an owl charm on my phone

Hello, been a bit busy in RL so a bit awol here - sorry. I'm still working oit my own frugal ways - sometimes I get it wrong, sometimes right! I did manage to get my DDs birthday presents a lot cheaper by shopping around, and gave been continuing to harvest some stuff from the garden.
I think I need to think more in terms of 'treading lightly on the earth' by not consuming, rather than being skint. Wantinc to nit consume rather than not bring able to afford anything. The end result us the same, but I just feel better feeling nore green and 'eco'.
My expenditure has dropped a lot and I am also feeling less hassled so that's excellent.Trying to keep in budget.

Just had a large spend on a camera for the girlie's birthday.
Did save £70 on Amazon though for the camera and the memory card.
She hasn't had much luck with camera's - she drowned one in her bag and lost mine and had to replace it.
Let's hope this one lives long and prospers! Here dead we lie because we did not choose

Splashed out and bought some long handled right angled lawn shears today - £12.04 from Amazon. Figured it would be worth it to stop me getting chronic back ache every time I trim the "grassy knowls" in the garden with my lawn edging shears, having to crouch down, sticking my bum out!
Had a little reckon-up and, if I discard the Horrible William for doggie's teeth cleaning, it's been a brilliant frugal month - for me. :T And, praise be, the wonderful weather has meant great savings on the fuel bills.
I'm not beating myself up because I haven't saved as much as others, or because I've been seduced by the lure of half price Gu After Dinner Hot Chocolate Puddings - which are not only delicious cold, but are absolutely orgasmic!
If I had the chance of Brad Pitt, or a Gu ADHCP - well Brad boy, you've no chance! So if anyone else hasn't saved as much as they would have liked, as long as you've saved something, that's great. :j
We've all got problems of one sort or another, and the fact that we can deal with them and think about saving money, shows just how great we are!

The sun's finally arrived so taking advantage and doing a mega-wash - throw from sofa already out, winter pj's currently in (not dirty, just nice to freshen them up as they've been in a drawer for around 6 months) and pets stuff will be done when that's finished.

The day came yesterday
My old boy of 16 and arf started to give up. The past two nights he had been out and about round the neighbours gardens and had been quite lively for an old man.
Yesterday afternoon he was crying into thin air and would not go far from me. We had a long cuddle in the afternoon sunshine, full of tears and smiles then the drive to the vets. I sat outside sobbing like a lunatic until it was our turn. The vet was wonderful and said he had nothing left to give.
We had a burial by torch light with all the family and cats in attendance.
I had my baby from less than 5 weeks old and had to bottle feed him. He was here before my son and we have been through so much together. Only last year he snook into my hubbys car and tried to go to work with him until hubby was asked at the gates for the cats pass. He was a free spirit who chose to share his life with me for which I will be truly grateful.
I am sure the tears will stop and my heart will no longer feel like it is breaking in half but I will never forget him.
For all of those with poorly pets I genuinely feel for your as they are part of the family and it can tear you up inside.
