Hi all
I hope everyone is ok (including pets) and you haven't got too wet today.
Well I am applying for a job, teaching assisant at my son's school. I need to do something to earn some more money. I don't have any paper qualifications but lots of related experience so fingers and toes crossed, although I prob won't get it as there's lots of people looking for jobs out there. It would just make things a little bit more comfortable though.
And gutted, put on 2 lbs this week, don't know why but I now have to put marbles back in my pot :rotfl:Mum to 2 DSs, dog mum, wife full-time worker.

The only problem is I seemed to have managed to fill up the front room with the things taken outWon't DH be happy when he gets home :rotfl::rotfl:
:rotfl:That sounds like my "tidying up" - I get one room looking really nice and the others all have piles everywhere of the stuff that's come out of it!:rotfl:dizzy_lizzie wrote: »Popped in Mr As today. Normally even if I only want just a couple of things I'll still grab a trolley and spend a small fortune on things I didn't go in for, so today I picked up a basket and spent just £4.01p on what I went in for. I have to say it was hard, and oddly felt bereft, but was pleased once I got out of the store that I'd kept my money in my purse.
:T Well done! I'm really bad for this too - instead of just going to the aisle I need, I take a trolley and am usually suckered into buying a load of stuff on offer.SandraScarlett wrote: »The vet said I was lucky cos he could do it early in the day and as my dog had to have this done under general anaesthetic, he wouldn't have to stay in over night.
When I collected him, I was given 14 antibiotic tablets, and a King William for .......... £367!!!!!:eek::eek: I had been pre-warned of the cost, and I adore my little-man-in-a-fur-coat, but life is a game of snakes and ladders.
Awww, hope he's feeling OK today, they're bound to be a bit sore for a few days but should hopefully make him a lot more comfortable once he's recovered.Grocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)

Awwww Tumpty, fingers crossed the pills do the trick....Well I am applying for a job, teaching assisant at my son's school. I need to do something to earn some more money. Good luck natnat.....
As for me, well another day of relentless tv watching and internet surfing! It's very frustrating being in the house and not able to do anything as there's so many things that I could be doing .....
Anyway, tasks for today ..
Start working on mortgage application (feel slightly sick at the whole thing TBH, have checked credit report and it looks OK but there's so many people with excellent credit being turned down .....)
Avoid buying anything online! I rarely get to buy anything online as most companies want a signature and I'm not usually in .....
So far this week - order from 3 places for cat food! However, the dry was on offer so when that comes (and with the bag of their other dry I got on offer last month) I should have enough for 6 months which will help balance the budgets a bit. I've also ordered new wet food to try as the wee "darlings" will only eat the stuff in the tiny tins which are hugely expensive ... hope they'll eat this too as it'll save me a fortune!
Trying not to buy groceries (apart from fresh bits) this month - got seriously carried away with pre-op stocking up last month - have a huge cc bill:( and every cupboard is overflowing. I bet I could last 3 months....:o
Have a good day everyoneGrocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)

It's horrible but I'm hoping she will just pop her clogs naturally, and soon before she really decilnes, rather than me having to take her to the vets for an injection.0

I am in the same boat TumptyThe problem is some days old mogs looks so lively sometimes.......... I could cry!
Had an awful day yesterday. A friend found out they have pancreatitis, another friend was in tears on the phone as her arthritis is so bad at the moment she can hardly move but she is so scared of having any time off work then another friend rang to say her boyfriend had stolen 5 grand off her :eek::eek: What a day!!!! So ended up going to
bed early and watching a film with DH snuggled together under the duvet which was nice change as we don't watch much tv.
Did really well on whoopsies last night chickens for £1 each so two have gone in the freezer and got some sweet pots, sweed, cabbage and courgettes for a few pence each
Must get on and do something
