    Morning everyone!

Have uu my nivea pampering shower oil this morning. WIBA, maybe sometime way in the future, I bought this because it is the one I took into hospital with me when I was having DS, the bath I had after the birth was the best bath I have ever had and the smell of this brought all those lovely memories back.

Re the new Oral B toothpaste, SD are doing them half price and i got the mouthwash and whitening one, it is awful, it's ok when you are using it but the mouthwash effect leaves a really horrible taste which takes at least two coffees and several biccies to get rid of, makes me feel a bit sick, so I am reserving it for night time use.

  • thanks for the Lush info.
I've always loved Lush products, mainly their bubble bars and Snow Fairy at Christmas. I don't like their soaps, shower jellies or shampoo or conditioner.
I do rave about Snow Fairy and buy about 10 bottles of the stuff in December to last me the whole year.

I am quite shocked about the info though. I don't really follow any of their campaigns and to be honest I am not an animal person at all. But I do always feel that if you buy something in there its helping with some kind of environmental or animal rights group. I just buy the items from Lush, because thats who happens to make the products I love.

Thank you for the supportive comments over the Lush stance, I was a bit worried that I might be misinterpreted but that doesn't appear to have happened.

An IN - my Batiste was used up in one go virtually, so when I spotted a Batiste Dry Non Aerosol in Savers I got it. I can't remember what I paid - I think it may be £1.69. It's a natural product - maize starch (cornflour??) and talc in a puffer pack. If it's just cornflour and talc, well.... We'll see.

There were lots of aerosol dry shampoos that seemed new to the market, so Batiste may not have the lion's share of the market for much longer.

I can also report that my go at making laundry gloop was completely successful. It went like clockwork. It isn't as unpleasant to use as some have reported, imo, and seems to have given really good results on lightly soiled clothing. Nothing I wear usually gets very mucky, and I do have stain removers which I would use with standard laundry products anyway.

Well done hon! Knowing what you've got is very important if you want to use things up rather than buying duplicates of things you already have.

  • Great stash iamsalt! And loads of mini stuff for quick UU! I think all my stash is full sized sadly

One UU for this morning- an impulse moisturising body spray which was at least 5 years old. WNBA again and have no idea why I brought the dregs of this with me when I moved 3 years ago! Never mind, it's gone now.

Also been to the PO today so I have some ins to report :(
Bought a mini SBC propolis gel and Alpha H micro cleanse on the internet, it's a very pricey face scrub but will apparently clear out my pores which are very bad on my nose and chin.

They also sent 2 minis of Alpha H liquid gold with the delivery, not sure what to do with this so I'll have to do an internet search for it!

Hope the weather's as good where you are as it is in Edinburgh today!!
No more buying unnecessary toiletries 2018
    35 UU / 13 unnecessary ins

    Congrats to Charlie's OH :T :T

I've just heard the news about the death of Amy Winehouse :( Although many will say it was inevitable I still think it's an awful shame - so young and so talented - unfortunately so troubled. RIP.

Little Dog was back at the vets yesterday - his eye hasn't improved so he's now on two lots of eye drops and they've given me something to stop him vomiting (a side effect from one of his other drugs :() His daily meds list is now HUGE - but they say he's doing better than he has for months :rotfl:

Off to Inverness tomorrow for 5 days to visit my Aunt & Uncle - NOT looking forward to the 13+ hour coach journey but it will be worth it :D

Some IN's (and founds in my suitcase :o)
Sanctuary Thermal Face Mask - used a £5 skinnie - I have the S&G one but that's more a wash. I prefer the proper clay-type masks.
Avon 3-in-1 Face Cloths - (found)I think these were DD's as I've never bought them :p
Kids Detangling Spray Strawberry and Milk - (found) I think this is Silvikrin - it's got Smurfs on it :rotfl: Love this stuff - love the smell - nicer than the Watermelon smell which all the other brands seem to favour.

I'll try and pop on tomorrow but in case I don't: Have a super week :A
  • That's really good news Charlie!

RE the Lush thing. I definitely don't agree with all of their campaigns. I admire their stance in a general sense, but think many of their campaigns go too far. However I'm sure every company I buy from does things I don't agree with (such as Boots and their tax avoidance) and if I were only to purchase from companies I completely approved of, I wouldn't be able to buy anything! That's how I justify it anyway :o

Just had a bath and used up the last of my Lush Christmas products - they'll be releasing the 2011 range before long I suppose :rotfl:
