If you disagree with this offer, then don't worry. You can just ignore it, surely? I think it's great, I buy these items anyway0

Hmmm just had a thought here. No doubt Tesco will probably be keeping the price of the Coke and Tuna higher than most of the other supermarket to reap some of the revenue back, so, what not run your receipt through their Pricechecker?. That way you can be sure you are buying it at the better prices if you had gone to another supermarket when they refund the difference??.
Just a thought, any good?0 -
just to add to the debate.....
Most supermarkets and majors buy fuel "ex rack" from Suppliers such as Greenergy (who incidently Tesco have a shareholding) Base petrol is the same blend for all suppliers and has to meet standard specs such as EN590 for deisel and EN 228 for petrol.
Some majors add secret additives to claim there fuel is better than ..... and some are maybe - slightly.
BP Drivers are contracted to drive and deliver Sainsbury petrol, Esso Tesco DHL Morrisons.
There IS A difference between retailers not just supermarkets but to see the difference you would have to drive perfectly to manufactures guidlines to see any difference and how many can say hand on heart they drive the same day in day out?0 -

Hand on heart I drive perfectly day in, day out :rotfl:0 -
I don't think it would make sense for non-supermarkets to buy "better" fuel - surely it would cost them more and as they struggle to compete with supermarkets they really couldn't afford to do this.
If they were doing this, do you really think it would be kept so quiet... I heard from a friend of a friend, etc? No, they would be advertising it heavily to persuade us to buy from them and ditch the supermarkets.0 -

so the offer is, i buy 1 pack of coke and a pack of tuna and get a 15p voucher correct?life is like a loo roll. the nearer the end you get, the faster it goes.0

If there really is such a marked difference between supermarket and branded petrol stations, couldn't you just go buy a bottle of redex if you want the extra additives or cleaners?
I still see no difference between like for like buys from any petrol station, be it supermarket or not.0
