And they will be feeling self satisfyingly smug at their deviousness as they pick up their huge bonuses.

Why would Tes#o have a dedicated 3 for £10 or 4 for £12 fridge stacked with all the usual meat and chicken offers and then also stack Sirloin steaks that are not included in the offer slap bang right in the middle of all the on offer products, I got to the checkout and was told that the sirloin was not included in the offer. Why stack it there if not to confuse the customer.

We do it if we run out of the other stuff and need to fill what is one of the most important shelves in the shop (can't leave it bare).

That deal is ongoing and there are stickers on the products that are a part of it. The shelf-edge label for all the other items would have the deal on the right, the steak wouldn't have done.

i think alot of time it space issue where i work we have to mix the clothes with each other due to not having enough space to fit one design on one arm maybe it the same in supermarkets as they have to have all the different products out and in large amounts and maybe dont have the space

I just think that Tesco hire staff who are great at first then become lazy and the managers aren't supervising them enough (unless there is a visit).

I would always check receipts and shelf edge labels in Tesco to avoid being stung as they do try to run stores on fewer members of staff.

In my local tessies, you ar elucky if there is a price ticket anywhere to be seen:mad:

  • It would be so much easier if they stuck price labels on the products like the good old days! :-)

I notice a lot of the time on these Bogof deals that the sell by dates never seem to far away,

It does appear to be a case of having to much stock and then putting the offers up to get rid of it all, have seen this a lot in Tesco's on things like crisps, cereals and soft drinks !

Probably the staff putting stock out in the wrong place because it all looks the same. I get confused buying it, let along putting it on the shelf. And I used to work in a supermarket.

Just read the labels. I go and double check the SEL's on the actual shelf to see what the offer is. Supervisors have other work to do, maybe this got put out - had you bought it to their attention instead of moaning about it, they could have moved the stock so other people would not get confused and staff would be told to check the products properly.

Mistakes happen and usually by people. Why is it always someone trying to scam someone else?

And surely everyone checks their receipts? If you don't, then you should. After all, had you bought 4 for £12 and something had been on BOGOF and it deducted another £4 (human error again), you'd all be rejoicing and filling your freezers and not complaining. Swings and roundabouts.

We actually moved all the pork which wasn't on the offer from the stand. It is confusing for customers if they dont know what to look out for. It sucks :(

I dont really think that this was a mistake on the part of the supermarket. If this was an error, it wouldnt still be there. I did mention it to the checkout operator, who also said it should not be happening. I do check all receipts, and I do not rejoice as you put it if mistakes occur. I am an honest person and always give back incorrect change or hand over money dropped in the street, I really dont feel your post was fair or necessary. I dont consider posting on this forum MOANING.
  • It sounds like some of you need to check the shelf labels more carefully, and stop blaming the store!
You can't expect them to group everything together just because they are part of the same offer. These shops already have specific layouts for their products.
